LOADED WITH NAVIGATION (NO DISC), AM/FM/CD CHANGER AUDIO (BLOWN RF SPEAKER), DUAL POWER SEATS W/MEMORY, SUNROOF, POWER REAR SUNSHADE, AND MUCH MORE!  VIEW THE "FEATURES AND OPTIONS" SECTION BELOW THIS DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS ON ALL THIS CAR HAS TO OFFER!

ALL THE ELECTRONIC FEATURES (EXCEPT THE POWER SEATS AND POWER TILT/TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL) WORK AS THEY SHOULD.  THE POWER SEATS DO WORK, BUT THEY ARE CURRENTLY UNPLUGGED FROM THE CONTROL UNIT BECAUSE THEY ARE CAUSING A DRAW ON THE BATTERY.  YOU CAN SIMPLY PLUG THEM IN, ADJUST THE SEAT TO YOUR LIKING AND THEN UNPLUG THEM TO SAVE THE BATTERY.  THE POWER TILT/TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL IS INOPERABLE FOR THE SAME REASON, BUT CAN BE PLUGGED IN, SET TO YOUR LIKING AND THEN UNPLUGGED.  ALL THE OTHER POWER FEATURES LIKE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, WINDOWS, MIRRORS, SUNROOF, AUDIO SYSTEM, LIGHTS, GAUGES, A/C SYSTEM, AND POWER REAR SUNSHADE WORK JUST FINE.

THIS MERCEDES LOOKS PRETTY GOOD INSIDE AND OUT.  THE PAINT IS GLOSSY AND COLOR CONSISTENT FROM PANEL TO PANEL, BUT IT HAS MULTIPLE TINY CHIPS AND SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE.  I TOOK CLOSE-UP PICS OF THE WORST AREAS AROUND THE CAR.  OVERALL THE EXTERIOR LOOKS QUITE GOOD.  THE INTERIOR IS ALL INTACT AND LOOKS GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE HEADLINER WHICH IS MISSING ON THE SUNROOF COVER AND FALLING IN THE REAR (SEE PICS BELOW).  THE INTERIOR OTHERWISE LOOKS GOOD. IT JUST NEEDS A GOOD DETAILING AND MAYBE A LITTLE SEAT DYE HERE AND THERE.

THIS C240 HAS A FAIRLY NEW TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH (REPLACED AT 120K MILES) AND A NEW A/C COMPRESSOR (REPLACED AT 140K MILES).  MECHANICALLY, THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION, BUT DOES NEED A FEW MINOR THINGS TO PASS VA STATE INSPECTION.

TO PASS STATE INSPECTION THIS C240 NEEDS: REMOVAL OF REAR WINDOW TINTING, NEW LEFT-FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS/BALL JOINT, AND NEW REAR BRAKE PADS.  OTHERWISE, THIS CAR IS MECHANICALLY GOOD TO GO AS IT IS.

THIS CAR'S CURRENT INSPECTION STICKER IS EXPIRED (EXPIRED 12/13) AND THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD TO VA RESIDENTS WITH A REJECTION STICKER UNLESS THE INSPECTION ITEMS ARE REPAIRED BY US (AT AN ADDITIONAL COST) BEFORE THE CAR IS DELIVERED.  OUT OF STATE RESIDENTS WILL RECEIVE THE CAR WITH THE EXPIRED STICKER ON IT.

THE CARFAX SHOWS AN ACCIDENT IN 2007 INVOLVING ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT-FRONT.  THE CAR WAS PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED TO LIKE NEW CONDITION AT THAT TIME AND HAS SAFELY AND RELIABLY BEEN DRIVEN EVERY SINCE THEN.

OVERALL, THIS IS 2001 MERCEDES C240 IS A VERY GOOD DRIVING CAR THAT JUST NEEDS A LITTLE WORK TO LOOK AS GOOD AS IT GOES!
