MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. $8,000-10,000 invested. This car is FAST! Fresh drivetrain under 200 miles, never beat, raced etc.  EDELBROCK HEADS, CAM, EXHAUST, etc... I personally owned this car for 5-6 years and it has only been in storage until a month ago I put it on the road. This Firebird was my "dream car project" My loss your gain. We can take for ride , starts right up. Fast fast car. Needs someone to complete putting nose on and small body and interior odds and ends. Sat mostly in storage. Only mechanically inclined people please that understand this car needs some work but has serious money invested and major work is done, and done right.  This car needs completion and work.  I only registered it for the first time 3 months ago after having it for 5-6 years.  It has under 200 miles since overhaul but has age to everything redone from time in storage.  You can hop in turn key and drive, but it needs completion to be a car to take your girlfriend out in again.  It will consistently while cruising at 40 MPH on a straight, dry pavement road break rear tires loose and spin the tires uncontrollably if you hit throttle, IT HAS STRONG CLEAN CONSISTENT RELIABLE HORSEPOWER, this is not your stock LT1 camaro!  This car sounds great!  Engine never beat and not even broken in!

I am hoping to add youtube videos asap.  email me any and all questions cruisin68@hotmail.com.

This is not just a thrown together drivetrain with a bunch of bolt ons. It is a matched performance street set up.

OK, I did a quick run down above. Please read all as I am not a writer but have been a mechanic for 15 years plus..

I worked at a shop 10 years ago for 4 years that in particular serviced all the local police LT1 9C1 94-96 Chevy Caprices. I KNOW LT1's and their drivetrains. Also in our shop we started doing modifications for private individuals on their retired LT1 Police cars and Camaros.

This car is for the most part mechanically done and drivetrain wise matched very well for great performance (around 350hp) and still a cruiser with decent fuel mileage, cruise control, and A/C etc. It always runs exactly 165 degrees. It is not some modified car that was done on a budget with mismatched components, too big of a cam, etc.. etc.. It was a planned out project from day 1.

I bought the car 5-7 years ago. It was really nice. It was a great driving car. Tight steering and suspension, all stock. I put all my extra time and effort into doing everything mechanical in that first year. Everything was new or excellent take off etc. Mechanically when I got this car it did not need anything really, BUT I redid most everything because I rebuilt so many of these engines before and also had a fresh $2000 11K GM 4L60E transmission from a totaled police cruiser we had.

ENGINE I pulled LT1 engine out. Engine was in excellent condition inside. I had it hot tanked, light hone on cylinders and put brand new GM LT1 piston rings with clevite rods and mains.. Everything in block is standard size (i.e. rods, crank, cylinders, pistons) due to needing no machining. I put a new GM timing chain, with GM performance parts 845 hydraulic roller cam which is an excellent cam with these LT1's. Brand new oil pump, gaskets, etc. etc.

CYLINDER HEADSNEW out of the box EDELBROCK LT1 aluminum cylinder heads with 1.6 roller rockers.

IGNITION Has lifetime warranty Optispark distributor and MSD wires. Pacesetter full length 1 3/4” headers. K&N cold air intake with aluminum smooth bore elbow. Throttle body coolant delete. New O2 sensors. Deleted air pump. All emissions deleted. Catalytic converter delete.

TRANSMISSION Trans has only 11,000 miles on it and it is an actual TRUE $2000 GM 4L60E remanufactured transmission from wrecked police cruiser that I personally parted out. I added a full transgo shift kit with corvette servo also and brand new 2600-2800 torque/stall converter.

PCM - PCM was programmed by pcmforless.com to delete all emissions, air pump etc. Also they tweak the timing and make multiple modifications to computer programming for engine, intake and exhaust modifications.

FUEL SYSTEM – Walbro 255GPH fuel pump with stock fuel lines, rails, and factory style filter.

WATER PUMP - Brand new with lifetime Oreillys warranty

EXHAUST Stainless Magnaflow, all new.  1 3/4 full length pacesetter headers.  Catalytic converter delete with aftermarket Y pipe.

REAR AXLE- GM 373 gears (used gears in great shape), with stock limited slip/posi rear. New fluid with limited slip additive installed.

TIRES All 4 near new KUMHO P245/50R16 on factory rims.

CONVERTIBLE TOPBlack in color, was recently replaced when I bought car, it is in very very good condition although some leaking around window weatherstripping. Factory glass rear window. Power top works great up and down although 1 convertible top cylinder leaks BUT I have 2 near new extra cylinders to go with car.

BODYFactory color black car, very good body with very nice paint. It is dusty and could use a light compounding, but very nice. As you can see front bumper is off and needs painting, headlamp door is off and needs painting, mirors need painting. Tailights are the sought after 2002 Trans Am honeycomb style in excellent shape. Headlights are in upright position, the motors and gears are good on both headlights but the headlight position sensor is not operating since it sat in dampness for so long.

INTERIORInterior needs to be put back together. I have everything for it but needs to be put back in. You get a brand new carpet. You will get 2 center consoles. 2 sets of seats, door panels etc. The car was originally beige fabric interior. I have in it (2) 2002 Leather Trans AM front seats, all the rest of extra seats I have are the fabric ones. Headliner area by windshield is coming down.

UNDERCARRIAGEundercarriage is stock and I have full bolt in special frame connectors for convertible that are brand new and never installed (cost like $275 at the time.) The underside DOES HAVE surface rust from sitting in a damp garage. It has several rust pinholes in rear floor pan. It is very unfortunate it sat in a damp floor garage.

Essentially car has been in storage for 5 years. I redid mechanical stuff 5 years ago but has literally under 200 miles since totally going through etc. I did always start it up though so to avoid problems from extended storage. Also changed oil several times while in storage. Mechanical parts are not shiny and new anymore. Headers developed surface rust. Engine paint faded, etc. Has aftermarket new TCI starter but it does grind sometimes. Battery is 12 months old. This car needs TLC.. BUT this is not a wore out drivetrain with some bolt on parts etc. This was meticulously gone through. I just recently lost storage for it, and short time, motivation and money to complete final stages of restoration. It has road noise etc. due to no carpeting and underlayment. Please understand what it is, it is a project car, but began on the right track.. It is not a wore out beater camaro or something, but not a new car. I am fairly confident to drive it anywhere, although only have driven it locally because have only had registered for 3 months.

If you know about these cars etc. you will understand what is invested in it and how it is a mostly complete project car that can get you around and you can finish up.

ITS A CONVERTIBLE!!

Please email any and all applicable questions. I tried to be as extensive as possible with my description!! Please ask any and all questions!! My email cruisin68@hotmail.com  This car is described to the best of my ability!  Please review my feedback.  At our repair shop in years past I sold many many cars..  All my buyers were very satisfied.  I am an honest seller.  Please understand this is a project car, but almost complete and done right, and not all beat up.  Tracks straight and tight down road, excellent brakes etc..  This is a for a project minded person but can be worked on while used!  It is very fast!  It is not for your 18 year old kid.  It is significantly more powerful than stock.  If you are not an experienced driver, you can easily lose control of this car if you are somewhat heavy on the throttle.

You will get many bins of extra extra parts etc. from LT1 cars I parted out in years past.  Lots of extras included.  I am somewhat middle aged and out of car hobby.  Other life priorities now.
