Ford Bronco: 1966-1996 R.I.P.

This is the final production year for this iconic SUV

The father of a good friend of mine purchased this Bronco when it was only 2 years old in March of 1998 with 19,000 miles on the odometer. I had pursued owning and adding this Bronco to my collection for quite some time. It wasn't until the previous owner purchased a new Ford F150 that he finally passed it on to me. She has been garaged almost all of her life and very well maintained. This particular Pony is extremely rare. Production numbers for the "Sport" optioned Bronco's were very low and based on my research, they were only offered in 3 colors- White, Black and Red with body color bumpers and grilles. Even though they were badged as XLT trim level packages, most had options more similar to the Eddie Bauer models. Mine is even more unique because it was ordered with Eddie Bauer style running boards and leather interior. With only 144,000 miles and the quality care it has received, it is certainly one of the best you will find. The body is in outstanding condition and the paint has a bright shine which is a bold statement to make about white! The interior is amazing and near perfect. The drive-train components are all performing properly. Even if I didn't type another word, your impression would most likely be clear after viewing just the first few pictures. For those that prefer as many written details as possible I will continue providing information within the photo display.

All of my eBay experiences have been enjoyable over the years as I've sold members of my collection. I'm grateful for the kind words and compliments I've received. My opinions have guided me well and I stand behind them but please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions and observations and they may differ from your own. I welcome showing my Bronco in person to anyone with genuine interest. I live very near the Portland Oregon Airport and would gladly pick you up. Each photo shows the Bronco clearly and accurately from as many angles as I could think of. It is my intention to make this as close to you seeing and touching it for yourself as possible. Feel free to click on the "ask a question" link here in the auction and I will respond to all polite questions. Phone calls are great too. My telephone number is 503-575-0404 and calls between 8AM and 9PM Pacific time are just fine. My auction runs for 5 days and is scheduled to end on Tuesday evening, the 29th of April at 7:30PM Pacific.

I reserve the right to end my auction early in the event I accept a genuine offer and the Bronco becomes no longer available.

*If you are outside of the U.S. or Canada, PLEASE contact me to confirm your bidding activity as genuine.*

Everyone, please be sure to read my terms of sale located near the bottom of this screen. I'm a reasonable person but I will not bend on these basic terms unless previously discussed during the auction. A little communication goes a long way.

NO RESERVE AUCTION

I did not set a reserve price on my Bronco. All that I ask in return is for your bids to be real and your intent to purchase be sincere. I took every picture you're about to see in my driveway right here at home. No photo has been altered or enhanced in any way. This is my Bronco and these pictures are true to her in-person appearance. Thanks for your time, DAVE

As I mentioned above, the body and paint are in excellent condition. Absolutely NO rust or corrosion anywhere. It has never been wrecked. There are no dents or ugly blemishes to mention. The paint holds an incredible gloss and shine that was difficult to capture in photos. Nevertheless, reflections can be seen in the finish which is hard to accomplish in white paint. Both bumpers and all exterior trim are in very nice shape. All glass is crystal clear. Her appearance is impressive from every angle. A cared for and respected life is obvious. Only adult owned and driven.

The interior photos speak for themselves. It is very near perfect. The seats look like showroom new. The door panels, headliner and dashboard area are all excellent. The carpet is extremely nice as well. One look inside as you open the door is all it takes. A finer interior would be hard to find.         Factory optioned with the 5.8 liter (351-V8) engine. She always starts easily and performs well. Crisp throttle response with no ticks, misses, hesitations or noises of any kind. Wonderful power at all times. The automatic w/overdrive transmission shifts flawlessly. Front and rear differentials are quiet. The 4-wheel-drive engages smoothly even into low range. Brakes, steering and suspension have been maintained as needed and are tight and sound. She doesn't pull, shake, vibrate or rattle. One finger on the steering wheel keeps her straight on the road at 70mph. I am aware of no current issues. Simply turn the key and go.

Very expensive WARN winch bumper with brush guard is like new.

PLEASE NOTE: The factory original polished alloy wheels are included in the sale (pictured as you scroll through the photos). One of my only additions and personal touches was the new Black wheels. I love them and they provide an aggressive and "tough" look without taking anything away from the gorgeous appearance.

Never abused off-road and always kept clean and in the garage when not driven.

I have been collecting classic cars and trucks almost all of my life. I'm proud of the automobiles in my family. A few years ago I started acquiring these Bronco's and haven't stopped since. Maybe I was a little late to the party but I think they're wonderful rigs. Now that these final versions are approaching 20 years of age, it's difficult to find nice ones. Most experienced lives filled with abuse and were driven and neglected until they had no more to give. This White 1996 Sport Edition escaped that fate. It's one of the nicest I've found. I will continue my quest for fine examples but this one will be remembered as among the best.

There is one little ding near the step pad on the bumper.

The tire carrier and spare are like new.

I don't believe the top has ever been removed.

The view from my front porch. As I mentioned, I took every picture myself here at home.

Sport models came with color-matched bumpers and black door handles.

There are 2 scratches on the very top of the roof. I don't know how they occurred and I owned the Bronco for some time before even noticing them. Only visible if you climb up and look for them. Very minor complaint.

Personal tastes can vary but I'm generally known to have a good eye. I really like the wheels I chose but the original alloys are included. The tires are 80+%

Each and every gauge operates perfectly.

All 4-wheel-drive options function like new and engage smoothly.

Absolutely every switch and knob works properly. All lights, gauges, heater/cold AC, wipers, factory radio with CD player and even the horn all function as intended. The cruise control is the only exception and is currently in-op. It is my intention to rectify this before she goes to the next owner.

Accurate and authentic mileage since new.

Dash is mint! No cracks or flaws. There is nothing better than a garage kept life. The interior really is outstanding.

Rear seat was hardly ever used.

The entire engine compartment is extremely clean. Very well maintained.

Mechanically she is strong. I have been very pleased with performance and overall feel while driving. I have noticed a small oil drip on my garage floor after she sits. A safe assumption is that the rear main seal is seeping. Very typical on Ford small block engines. Nothing that requires attention or concern but deserved to be mentioned in the interest of full-disclosure.

The undersides are what we pray to find. Never even undercoated! Never exposed to a salted road (sorry Mid-West and East Coast guys). No rust or corrosion. Just rock-solid everywhere you look and I've looked closely.

I'm a detail oriented person so I did enjoy making some cosmetic improvements to the undercarriage but it was already in amazing shape. Light road grime and dirt only.

Wheel wells behind the tires are spectacular. I couldn't do much to improve them.

The original wheels are neatly boxed and will be included.

Factory owners manuals are still in the glove box in the original pouch. This is the authentic Oregon Certificate of Title. Easily transferable to any State within the U.S. and exactly what customs agents and border patrol folks expect to see.

I'm hoping that my appreciation for this Bronco is contagious and that your impression is fully formed by now. It is simply outstanding and more than worthy of sitting next to the other members of my collection. Thanks again-

Terms of Sale: 18yr old vehicle being sold AS-IS:

Please read and agree with the following:

I have described my Bronco honestly and to the best of my ability based on over 25 years of owning and driving classic cars. This is one of the best examples you will find. I have 100% faith in the drivability of my Bronco and everything is in good working order per my written description provided above. I enjoy driving her without concern and would not hesitate taking a cross-country trip today but she is almost 20 years old so routine service and repairs should be expected based on her age. If you are not comfortable with a sight-unseen purchase, please come see the vehicle for yourself or have an independent inspection performed  PRIOR to bidding, NOT after. I will not be responsible for the decisions of others. Free and clear Oregon Certificate Of Title and a bill-of-sale will be provided. I would appreciate the winning bidder contacting me immediately upon end of auction just so the lines of communication are opened. My telephone number is 503-575-0404

PAYMENT TERMS

I'm an easy going person so if you need to make special financial arrangements please contact me BEFORE you bid and I'll try to help. I have been with the same bank here in Portland Oregon for over 10 years and the Management staff knows me. You are welcome to contact them for your own security if you like. *The remaining balance in-full is due within 7 calendar days of auction end in the form of secure funds.* Some banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles of this vintage. Make sure if you are financing that your financial institution accepts the year and value of this vehicle before bidding and that my payment time-lines can be met. Please have your method of payment arranged prior to auction ending.

TRANSPORT - SHIPPING

I am happy to be an active and hands-on part of this entire process from start to finish but the buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle and any pre-purchase inspections need to be done BEFORE auction ending. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly assist in loading and be present for the transport condition form and other reasonable help. Locating a transporter is the buyers responsibility but I can make recommendations and share the relationships I've built. Vehicle transport has become very reasonable. I personally use a privately dispatched trucking company. They have handled my transport needs perfectly for the last several years with careful handling, excellent rates and fast service even all the way to the East Coast. I will provide contact info at your request. Dependable Auto Shippers (D.A.S.) is a transporter that eBay recommends and my experiences with them before I started using only private carriers were just fine. My location zip code is 97214. Coast-to-Coast transport is around $1200.00 and even less the closer you are to Oregon. Again, I will gladly be your hands, eyes and ears during the arranging and loading process of the transport. Shipping to Australia, Europe and other Countries has also become affordable and easy to arrange.

*If you are outside of the United States or Canada, you MUST contact me to confirm your bidding activity as authentic. If you are an eBay member with negative history or have a (0) or even a low transaction score, I need to hear from you just to verify your sincerity and accept your bids as genuine. We all started from (0) and I'm happy to give a leg up. I reserve the right to cancel bids at any point for these reasons. Email or phone contact is welcome. Communication is all I ask.

I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the vehicle is no longer available or otherwise SOLD.
