Incredibly original and extremely well documented 1 of only 3 early promotional trucks for the May 26, 1996 Indianapolis 500 Race. Post promotional duties, the current and 1st retail owner purchased it at Roanoke Motor Company while still on the factory MSO (certificate of origin) with all related documents including build sheet with specific option codes: 4BAA Company Cars, 4BC Public Relations, 4HA Special Scheduling Condition 1, AGJ Indy Special Appearance Package (See Build Sheet Below). 

Since that time, it has been respected, stored indoors and always protected, "All" components, exterior finishes and trim are of original build and power tour use. "1 of 3 Original - Concept Indy Ram"

In 1996 Dodge produced the Indy ram Pace Truck to go along with the introduction of the 1996 Viper GTS at the Indy 500. The "Replica" Indy Rams were modeled after the THREE "Official" full-dress Indy Ram's built as "Concepts" pre-Indy. These original Rams were built by MSX (then Masco Tec) in Detroit. They were equipped with all of the goodies including computer, headers, valve springs, pulleys, exhaust, low restriction air filter as well as hard tonneau cover, ground effects, running boards and front/rear smooth air dams. The duties of these 3 and very "Rare" trucks were as follows:

Truck #1:
One of THREE identically custom rebuilt off of Ram 1500's by MSX was used as the Dodge/Mopar Emissions certification vehicle. The then-head of Dodge/Viper Marketing, Ron Smith, was assigned this truck in conjunction with being the "Official Pace Car" and VCA coordinator at Indy for Dodge.

Truck #2:
Indy Ram was loaned to Indy 500 President, Tony George, for 60 days. He and his staff used it extensively during race month.

Truck #3:
This exact truck; was the "Magazine-Public Relations Pool Truck" that "Hot Rod Magazine" and others initially used for media testing. This was the "Public-Debut" Indy Ram. As part of the promotion of the Indy Ram Truck, this exact truck accompanied the 1996 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. The number #77 on the windshield, rear window and key tag, identified the truck at the Indy 500. Purchased by the current and 1st retail owner from Roanoke Motor Company's owner Dennis Rocke.
