It all started many decades ago when a man named Kay LeSueur began to buy and sell cars to supplement his income as a teacher. This interest in cars led his son Warren LeSueur to open up a store near ASU campus in 1975. Starting with only a couple of air-cooled Volkswagen Beetles, Warren began to build a legacy. For 38 years, Warren (along with his brother, sons, nephews, and friends) worked from an old brick building selling and fixing cars. Warren estimates that he fixed and sold more than 5,000 of Volkswagen's iconic "Bug."

After the turn of the century, Warren LeSueur realized it was time to take the next step with his business. The dirt lot and leaky shack no longer suited the needs of the company, nor did they live up to the increasing standard of vehicles Warren had in stock. The old air-cooled Beetles were long gone, and in had come newer and nicer cars with low miles. Customers would exclaim that the derilect building had character, and that they knew they were getting a good price because there was, quite literally, very low "overhead." We assured them that it was our people, not our building, that had the best character. Our tactics and our people would not change.

Years later, and with the new building finally constructed, LeSueur Car Company proudly claims to be Arizona's best family owned and operated dealership. But we won't stop there.
