Description

The chance to own "A Real  Hot Rod" does not come along very often, so listen up. A  real Henry Ford roadster body resting on an original  deuce chassis, this car was built in basic High Boy form  over 60 years ago in Hawaii and migrated to So-Cal in  1953. Amazingly all owners are documented back to 1953  including the current owner of 35 years and a few  lifetime friends as the prior owners, combined it has  remained between several buddies for more than 50 years.  Cover Car-Rod & Custom Magazine-December 1968-West Coast  Happenings. Ready  to rock and wonderfully well cared for, you would never  know that most of the body paint and chrome on the car  is about 40 years young. The professional "Black  Leather" wraparound pleated interior seating, door  panels, kick panels w/ stretch pockets and soft canvas  top have been recently restored. The cockpit is loaded  with vintage Stewart-Warner gauges, column mounted Moon  tachometer and plenty of information. Other items;  chrome roll bar, racing seat belts  & chrome  convertible structure. Finally rolling on a vintage set  of original series "Ansen Sprint" wheels wrapped in  big/little radial rubber. Next, a couple keys, three pedals  and horsepower...

The  major components were Mechanically restored about 1,200  miles ago. Power train features include rebuilt Chevy   350 cubic inch V8, aluminum cylinder heads, roller  rockers, aluminum intake manifold, Holley 750 cfm dbl  pump carburetor, M.S.D. Ignition, scatter shield  w/aluminum flywheel, Muncie M22 4-Speed transmission and  chrome 9" Currie 3:93 Posi w/Sommers Brothers axles.  Riding on chrome traverse mounted leaf springs front &  rear, chrome dropped tube front axle & 4 bar components,  chrome rear suspension radius rod/ladder and rubber  smell upon demand, big grin fun ;-)...
