This 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340, V8, 2-door hardtop (chassis LM23HOR166407) was recently purchased as part of a lot, prior to which it had only two owners within the same family.  It’s spent some time in storage, but paint as well as the interior is all original. The car has had some miles added around town after starting easily on a fresh battery and drives very strong. Though it has its fair share of wear and tear over the years, however it is rust-free.

 

Chrome and stainless show almost no signs of corrosion, and even the wiper arms remain clean.  All four hubcaps are still intact, as is the car’s original badging. Paint has seen better days, but a good polish might improve things. Glass, and other trim all appear to be fully intact and in mostly good condition. 

 

A rip covered with matching black duct tape on the driver’s side of the front bench, but otherwise upholstery appears to be well preserved, if a bit dirty.  The factory push-button radio retained, and overall the dash and switchgear look to be in good shape excluding two cracks in the center of the pad. The headliner is sagging and will need replacement. A/C is a rare and desirable factory option, but it currently blows warm—a good opportunity to swap out for a modern rotary compressor.

 

The odometer reads 84,601 miles and is believed to be accurate.  History is mostly unknown, but apart from the seller the car has had only two owners both within the same family. Documentation is minimal, but the original selling dealer certificate and owner’s manual are included.
