Along with this setup comes Porsche's VarioCam Plus system that optimizes efficiency at idle and maximizes power output at part- to full-throttle. With the increase in horsepower, the crankshaft needed to be stiffened by increasing the diameter of its main bearing journals by 3.0 mm. And a stronger aluminum crankcase is fitted that is nearly identical to the one found on the 911. This Cayman includes upgraded nineteen inch Porsche wheels.
