This 2006 Touareg V6 looks and drives great. We acquired this car from an overstocked Volkswagen dealer. It has been recently serviced and passed their inspection process. The Carfax report is clean, showing no accident history or any other problems.
This Volkswagen really represents great value in an AWD SUV. It has many of the features found in its its big brothers from Audi and Porsche, but its available at a price far below what you would pay for those names.
It starts under the hood with a 3.2 liter V6 rated at 240 hp and 229 lb-ft of torque - you won't have any trouble navigating through city traffic or passing on the highway. Handling is tight and nimble, and the All Wheel Drive system is world-class.
Its is also loaded with comfort and convenience features. It has remote entry, power windows, locks and mirrors, comfortable leather seats, dual power front seats with lumbar, driver's seat memory, heated front seats, auto dual-zone climate control, an AM/FM/CD audio system with steering wheel controls, a HomeLink gate / garage opener, auto headlamps, a trip computer/driver info center, and more. There are sun shades for the rear side windows and a privacy shade in the cargo area.
Exterior features include 17" alloy wheels and safety is a priority with front, side, and curtain air bags, ABS, and ESP stability and traction control.
Its in very good condition inside and out, but not perfect. We did spot 2 small, shallow dings - one on a rear door (its tiny) and one on the tailgate. Neither detracts from the appearance of the vehicle - it is a great looking SUV. Also, some of the radio and A/C controls are showing some wear (somewhat common in this generation of Touareg)
