This 2006 VW looks and drives great. We acquired this car from an overstocked Volkswagen dealer. It has been recently serviced, passed their inspection process, and was being offered by them on their pre-owned front line.
This TDI diesel model is nothing like the old "dirty" diesels of the past. It runs cleaner and smoother, and is much more responsive. And of course, its very economical as well, window-sticker rated at 35/42 mpg (that number was revised in 2008, but real world drivers are reporting an average of 41.1 mpg at the EPA fuel mileage website)
This VW also offers a nice selection of comfort and convenience features. There are power windows, locks and mirrors, remote entry, cold A/C, an AM/FM/CD changer stereo with steering wheel controls, tilt and telescopic wheel, cruise control, a trip computer / driver info center, folding rear seats, alloy wheels, a rear lip spoiler and more. The Leatherette seats are comfortable and look and feel a lot like leather, but they wear much better. There is a power recline function on the driver's seat. The DSG transmission operates as an automatic, but you can shift it manually if you choose.
Options include Satellite radio, heated front seats and rubber mats for the entire car, including the trunk.
VW has long been a leader in vehicle safety, and this car is no exception. It has front, side and curtain air bags, ABS, traction control and stability.
This Jetta TDI is in very good condition, with no issues to report. The Carfax report is clean, showing it as a lifetime Florida car with no accident history or any other problems.
