"When the 1955 Chevrolet 210 arrived, dealers had plenty to be enthused about. Not only were these Chevys longer, lower, and wider, but their "New Look" body was remarkably free of chrome excess -- a growing affliction of the Fifties. Chevrolets featured a Sweep Sight wraparound windshield and jaunty beltline dip, both inspired by limited-edition GM cars. Drivers faced new Swing-Type brake and clutch pedals and an "airliner look" twin-cove instrument panel with central glovebox. Bel Airs garnered the attention, but the half-dozen mid-range Two-Tens sold almost as well. A Two-Ten sedan was the most popular two-door model, and the four-door wasn't far behind its Bel Air cousin."

This example is an excellent restoration of an original 210 driven only 3,300 miles since completion.  Please let all the pictures load (there are over 120) to see the beautiful condition of the Classic Chevrolet.  According to the current owner, this car started life as a genuine 210 with a 6-cylinder engine. The 6 cylinder is long gone and has been replaced with a 350 crate engine with some performance modifications. The transmission is a  Muncie 4 speed manual and it has power steering and disc brakes. The car was professionally painted in the original Sea Mist Green/Neptune Green and the interior was restored back to original. The owner uses only Mobil One synthetic oil and the car is driven to local car shows where it has received numerous awards. What follows are the details.

This car received a high bid of $40,000.00 at the Mecum auction (Lot # F-100) this past October in Chicago.
