MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer this very dapper 1954 MG TF Roadster. This particular MG has undergone a tasteful, through and professional restoration in the past that looks wonderful. This is a beautiful and original car which makes it an excellent candidate for any collection in need of an early post World War II piece!

The TF Midget, launched 15 October 1953, was a face-lifted TD, fitted with the TD Mark II engine, headlights faired into the fenders, a sloping radiator grille concealing a separate radiator and a new pressurized cooling system along with a simulated external radiator cap. In mid-1954, the engine capacity was increased by 17% to 1466cc and designated XPEG. The bore was increased to 72mm and compression rose to 8.3:1 giving 63BHP at 5,000RPMs and a 17% increase in torque. The car was now designated TF1500 and externally distinguished by a cream background enamel nameplate on both sides of the bonnet, placed just to the rear of the forward bonnet release-buttons.

Production ended at chassis number TF10100 on April 4th 1955 after 9,602 TFs had been manufactured, including two prototypes and 3,400 TF1500s. The TF was superseded by the MGA.

This TF is finished in burgundy on the outside, which looks astounding and the color really pops! The saddle canvas top is in good condition and easily comes down so that you may feel the wind in your hair out on the open road. This Midget sits elegantly on a set of classic MG wire wheels that are wrapped in 5.50-14 Dunlop tires.

The interior is finished in red vinyl, are in excellent condition and show no major signs of wear or tear. This roadster possesses what appears to be the correct Jaeger gauges.

The TC is powered by a 1466cc XPAG overhead valve 4 cylinder engine. Attached to the engine is a manual transmission.

This classic MG TF roadster will give any collection a touch of class and European flair, especially with its tasteful restoration! The VIN is HDC464945 and the mileage currently shows 2,786. It is being sold on a clean and clear Missouri title, showing that it has been with the current owner since August of 1986. GET OUT AND DRIVE
