DESCRIPTION

Breathtaking.

That is a word that keeps coming out of folk’s mouths when they see this incredible looking Porsche Speedster Replica for the first time. Why? Because it is.

The first thing that grabs you is the overall look of the car. Vintage Speedster has painstakingly gone over every detail to make sure that only the keenest collectors eye could spot the minor variances between this and a real one.

The lines are clean and straight, fit and finish incredible, gaps and trim align perfectly, and all of the little details add up to perfection.

Era-correct Fjord Green was chosen for the color scheme, and it really sets this car apart from the sea of silver and red lesser quality clones running amok across the U.S..

The finish is glossy, slick, and wet looking, and has been lovingly hand waxed when it wasn’t being stored inside an air conditioned garage with its car cover on.

There are less than a handful of truly minor finish blemishes on the car, and most sellers would call it perfect, but I strive to maintain my 100% positive eBay FEEDBACK as a seller, so I simply must point them out, however inconsequential they are.

There are NO cracks in the fiberglass, NO rips, NO dents, NO dings… just a small hairline scuff and miniscule stone chip from normal driving on the lower fascia panel.

Aluminum bright work and trim is in very good condition, and the chrome on the car is in great condition with just some light patina in spots from normal wear.

Rear bumper guards were an optional items, and they look fantastic on the car.

Rear luggage rack was optional as well, and is functional as well as fantastic looking!

Inside the car, the options continue to add up, with the expensive Air Conditioning system that performs almost TOO well! It is icy cold, and the other functions work perfectly as well.

The banjo wheel lends an aura of authenticity to the car, as do the deluxe gauge package and dash trim.

Jute mats protect the fully carpeted flooring, kick panels, and rear panels.

Leather door panels with twist clasp storage pockets are in exceptional condition, as are the real leather bucket seats with matching shift and E-Brake boots. The optional real leather looks FANTASTIC, and is rip, tear, stain, and seam pull free. It has no stains and only the gorgeous patina fine grade leather gets over the years.

Seat belts are fully functional lap units, and have the PORSCHE crest on the buckle clasps.

There is also a small leather rear parcel bench in the back that matches and shows like new.

The convertible top is in perfect condition, with no stains, damage, tears, rips, or seam pulls. It shows like new, and rear window is in exceptional condition as well. The roll for it behind the seats is fully functional and works as it should.

A pouch in the front bonnet holds the two side screens for the top, and they are in exceptional condition and have no damage or issues.

The full tonneau is included in this sale, and was optional as well. It is in excellent condition, and has never been on the car.

Under the front bonnet, the whole hood area has been treated to carpeting for that finished look. This was an optional upgrade that really sets the car apart.

The upgraded an optional 1915cc motor was BRAND NEW when it was built and assembled for this car. With just 3,500 miles on it, it is still in excellent condition, and runs and performs like new.

85hp may not sound like a lot, but when you combine with the low seating height, open roof, and razor-like handling of this car, 85hp feels like a whole lot more!

The car starts, runs, idles, and performs like it was a brand new build, and it has been loving maintained since new with two complete fluid changes performed on it in the past 3,500 miles.

Handling is SPOT ON, and it goes where you tell it to in really short order! This is probably one of the best handling vehicles I have been in for a long time, and it is sure to put a smile on your face the first time you muscle through the twisties with a little trailer throttle oversteer for good measure.

The car does nothing out of the ordinary, and it feels wonderfully stable at highway speeds thanks to the optional upgrade to the 3.88 FREEWAY FLYER transmission.

Clutch actuation is perfect, and the car shifts and STAYS in gear with little effort and no drama.

Emergency brake works as it should, and holds the car without incident.

Glass windshield is clean and scratch free, and thanks to a treatment of RAIN-X, the water just blows off. If you need them, the fully functional windshield wipers are on hand, but with the curve of the screen, you really never use them.

All of the lights, horn, blinkers, and marker lamps work the way they should, and the car is pre-wired with a mini-amp and stereo speakers. All you need is to select what style of head unit you want to install, and you’ll have everything you need to blast crystal clear audio over the howl of the wind!

This is one of the finest examples of a 356A Speedster Replica I have seen, and I have been lucky enough to have owned Beck, Specialty, and others in my time.

The car has the authentic look, style, elegance, and panache that will make you the hit of the Country Club parking lot, while still letting you call all the shots while briskly dominating the back country roads in your neck of the woods.
