1970 Buick Electra 225 Convertible.... "something to believe in" was Buick's slogan for 1970 !! The last year of the Electra Convertible, the big car with big horsepower !! The production was only * 6,045 - The second least productive year since the 1959 Electra being the only one rarer !!

This beauty is quite the ride !! High gloss Red finish refinished a some time ago. Powered by the recently gone through, massive 455 C.I. V-8 w/ *370 H.P. this year !! Paired with the 3 spd. Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 Transmission.The Black interior is still beautiful as is the rest of original interior with minor wear on controls, etc....

1970 Buick Electra 225 Convertible spec's, what's "new" in 1970, std. & opt. equipment : Only a minor face lift with revised grille and taillight trim marked the 1970 Electra 225. In 1970, Electra's actually grew by an inch. Buick compensated for the additional mass by upgrading the engine to a massive 455-cid V-8 with 370 hp. This was the final year for the convertible in the Electra 225 series.New this year was a concealed radio antenna, which amounted to two wires embedded in the windshield, finned aluminum brake drums and high compression engines. The 1969 and 1970 are arguably more beautiful than the older machines, but as always, that�s in the eye of the beholder.
