Prior to coming to WA State February 2012, it spent most of its life in Southern CA and it has had only two owners since being sold new. This Portofino Red Defender 90 (#2254) has been extremely well-cared for, never abused, and is one of just 1,300 US-spec D90s that were imported in 1997, which was also the only year for the larger 4.0L V8 engine and ZF automatic transmission.

One of the ultimate off-road machines, the Land Rover D-90 gets high marks for both rugged capability and desirability. The 4.0L V8 is mated to a heavy-duty 4-speed ZF transmission with a near bullet-proof locking differential and 4WD - perfect for those steep grades. This D90 also sports safari windows, brush guards, Hella driving lamps, full roof cargo rack with ladder, overhead Hella off-road lights, and four rear jump seats.

This D90 features factory air conditioning and rides on almost-new BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires and the factory audio system has been supplanted by an upgraded audio receiver mounted in the lockable center console.

It checked out very well in our service department inspection; Front and Rear brakes were at 90% and all the tires had 15/32, It received an Oil and filter service, Brake system flush with new fluid, replaced the Serpentine belt, Wiper blades, new manifold gaskets, new left and right valve cover PCV hoses, a new windshield, we replaced the muffler with a new magna-flow muffler and oval exhaust tip, and for good measure we replaced all the lamp and signal lenses to freshen up the look.

Included with this D90 are the owner's books, a clean Car Fax history report.

Defender 90's are extremely desirable for both longevity and rarity, and this Portofino Red example is one of the finest you'll find.
