The car is a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente convertible, 289 Ci motor with 3 on the floor.  included in the auction are certified documents showing previous personal ownership by Mr. Jon Favreau. This car was Mr. Favreau’s daily driver prior to his huge success in acting, writing, directing and producing such notable hits as ironman 2 ,  Cowboys and Aliens , Elf, Rudy and his new hit TV show, Revolution.

 

Driver’s side rear quarter chrome trim is missing. The trim came off during the shooting of Swingers.  If you watch the movie closely you can see scenes where the trim is missing.

 

Improvements made by current owner:  New convertible top, gearshift changed from column to floor.

 

Maintenance records of past and present ownership will be included.

 

 This little mercury convertible definitely turns heads.  The cars classic look stands alone even without its notable pedigree. Runs and drives great!
