Get ready for a thrill ride in this ultra-safe, ultra-fast 2006 Volvo S60 R. This limited production R is one of the finest automobiles produced by Volvo. With 300 HP from the factory, and a 0-60 time in about 5 seconds, this Volvo is not only one of the safest cars ever put on the road, but also one of the fastest sedans made! The S60 R is anything but your normal S60. And the "R" from the mid 2000s is nothing like the current R-Type-- rather, these R's are complete with refinement and speed. 

From the factory, this S60 R is equipped with full-time all-wheel drive, a twin-intercooled KKK turbo, 18-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, and Bi-Xenon headlights. Unlike any other Volvos, the R series comes with four-c suspension at the corners and driver-adjustable chassis dampening where you can select from Comfort (for the bumpy roads), Sport (for on the road fun) and Advanced (for the thrill seeker). The car is also equipped with Dynamic Stability Traction Control. The Volvo's suspension and chassis are like no other, with the strut system adjusting nearly 500 times per second to give precise control over the driving experience. (Of course, if you are going to the race track with this car, Volvo provides secrets to undo all of the safety and chassis/suspension features and let this car loose.) 

This S60 R has factory race-inspired seats and steering wheel, blue gages, leather everywhere and blue stitched on black leather trim. The interior color is Volvo Nordkap Blue-- pretty cool dark blue leather. The stereo in the R is equipped with Dolby Pro Logic surround-sound and sounds fabulous. Our S60 R for sale also comes equipped with a built-in navigation system, memory power driver and passenger heated seats. 

This S60R has a CUSTOM PLASTI-DIP'ED FLAT BLACK EXTERIOR. What does that mean? It means it is a really cool, custom looking S60R. Plastidip is a rubber-based application that is completely removable with no damage to the paint underneath it. It will last years with minor attention. If you get tired of the flat black look, you can spend about an hour and peal off all the flat black and be left with the car's original color Black Sapphire Pearl preserved under the plasti-dip. The paint under the plasti-dip does have some imperfections (nicks, scratches, and the front bumper clearly has some imperfections in it)-- we know this as we dipped the hood. We've include a picture of the hood and underneath color in the pictures.

This S60 R is being offered at a very reasonable price. It has a CLEAN VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT (InstaVIN report available). The engine is strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. The suspension is in good shape, but is putting out chassis setting notices in the information panel. It does not affect the actual handling and suspension of the vehicle but does pertain to the selectability of setting the S60R's custom four c chassis settings. The condition is not perfect on this car-- the easiest way to explain this is the last S60R with similar miles, we sold for $12,000 because it was in absolutely amazing condition and was like new condition. This one is not in that same condition, and, as such, we are selling it for about 1/4 less than that price. There is nothing major wrong with the car-- it went through a detailed third-party inspection when we purchased it, and there were not issues found-- straight body, straight frame, strong running engine/transmission/ suspension/electrical and all components work. This S60R is just showing its age, plain and simple.
