offering this SL500 that been traded into the local auto park for the purchase of a new vehicle,so it not my personal vehicle so i can only tell what i have found from a breif inspection of the car,that being said what found is a nice running solid tight car it drives well,the interior is in great condition for its age better than the average the soft top is in good condition as well the glass is clear with no rips,and it seems to perform as it should,the hard top is also in good condition,this would make a great car for weekend drives with the top down,it hits the road tight and solid brakes felt fine and the transmission shifts as it should,THERE ARE 2 THINGS TO MENTION,#1 THERES A TICK MAYBE JUST AN OIL CHANGE,OR COULD BE LOOSE ROCKER ARM,BUT IN NO WAY EFECTS THE WAY IT RUNS,#2 THERES A YELLOW INDICATOR LIGHT WITH THE SAME SYMBOL AS THE WIND SCREEN THING DONT KNOW WHY ITS ON BECAUSE THE WINDSCREEN THING WORKS GOES UP AN DOWN,FOR A BLACK CAR IT LOOKS GREAT FOR A 1997 DECENT TIRES AND I WONT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANY WHERE IT DRIVES GREAT
