Up for auction is an all original 1979 Honda Accord CVCC with 34K Original Miles. This car is HEAVILY documented with original paperwork as well as maintenance records. You will be hard pressed to find another car anywhere that has this pedigree. I literally have every piece of original paperwork you can think of. This car was sold new at Colonial Imports in Petersburg, VA on December 11, 1978 for $6,249 and was garage kept in Petersburg until 2011. A 1964 Cadillac was taken in on trade. As you can see the original invoice is hard to read. The car has all standard options, some in which I found interesting for the year. This CVCC is equipped with DIGITAL Transmission Indicator, Tachometer, Fuel Reserve Warning Light, Oil Change Warning Light, Tire Rotation Warning Light, and a Oil Filter Change Warning Light. I thought these were innovative features for 1979, ahead of its time.

As I mention the paperwork is thick and documents the low mileage. I also have two ignition keys, an original Honda key, and all of the keys required to lift the rear window louvers.

The paint is all original with the exception of the hood, drivers fender and drivers door which were repainted at one time. There are a few dings and chips which were hard to photograph, but I tried my best. Mostly on the middle body line on the doors. There is a ding in the hood which is also photographed. The bottoms of the doors are perfect and rust free. The shut like they are new. The glass is all original and really nice.

The interior is striking and all original. Small tear in drivers seat which is pictured. Carpeting is still soft and nice. Original mats are in excellent condition. The drivers seat belt does not retract back into place. The headliner is original and nice. Everything works inside including the radio (left main radio knob broke off and needs to be repaired). The rear latch needs to be propped up as the hydraulic shocks are weak.

This Honda is powered by the original 1751 CC 4cylinder engine and Honda-matic (semi automatic) transmission. This Honda is carbureted and occasionally does idle rough. This car is known for getting 40+ MPG so it is an economical little thing. This car does NOT have AC. It does have power brakes but NO power steering (easy to drive its light as a feather). It doesn't seem to burn any oil but does have a tiny little drip.
