1995 Caprice 9C1 Detective Car / Impala SS Clone   Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album 1995 Caprice 9C1 / Impala SS Clone   I’ve owned this car since 06 and it’s been strictly a (weekend only) car. It was bought with 133K miles and now sits at 157K. I have done nothing with this car but improve it and it sits more than it’s driven now. This car is very reliable, fast and runs great. It gets very decent gas mileage for a full size car also. Very comfortable ride.   The 5.7 LT1 is mostly stock with the addition of an Edelbrock BBK throttle body and a K&N cold air kit.  All original (9C1)  green hoses still in nice shape. In the last year water pump, oil cooler lines and full A/C system components were replaced and serviced through normal maintenance. 4L60/trans. was dealership rebuilt a couple of months before I purchased it from previous owner and I’ve had no issues with it. Stock pan was replaced with a deeper 97 Tahoe pan the one time I changed the fluid & filter. Exhaust is nice with good cats and stainless duals out the back. Rear end is stock 9C1 width but, has new 3:73 posi gears. Brakes and BFG’s new all the way around a year ago.    Body is rust free and has never been wrecked or damaged. Body and paint work are 18 months old. I had the car de-badged and smoothed all the way around. Grill, wheel well moldings, rear spoiler, front air deflector, tail lights are either new NOS parts or from a true Impala SS. There are a couple of minor chips and blemishes but, nothing that stands out as you can see. The spotlight cut out was left in the door should the new owner want to add one.   Ruby red interior is still nice and clean. The only thing not stock is the stereo, floor mats and cop console I added. This is a detective car with fabric buckets & bench seat. There are 3-4 light burn marks on the bucket seats that are barely noticeable and can be fixed for about $30. Other than that no tears or damage. They have all been covered with towels the whole time I’ve owned it as well. Still has the ticket writing interior dome light and makes daylight in the car at night. This is a very nice car for it’s age. I have put a lot of time and money into to making it new inside and out. The only things the car needs is a front end alignment, I have not had the time to get it to a shop since the new tires were added. The coolant gauge is starting to bounce also which is a $10 sensor. No service engine lights ever, the time I’ve owned it.  This car turns heads and is very hard to find in this color combo & condition.
