As seen in the pictures this nice looking 2004 BMW 525i has no major body damage. It is a theft/stolen recovered vehicle. This vehicle was directly purchased from insurance auctions for resale. No middle man involved. We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) at hand and ready to transfer to the new owner. Such vehicles can be legally returned back to the roads after repairs (if any) and your state motor vehicles inspection. Many pictures below show the overall condition of the vehicle. Overall exterior is in good condition but has the obvious right rear door dent and looks like something spilled on the hood. There is nothing stolen from the car due to the theft incident and no damage to the ignition. The good news is that the car starts, engine runs good, and we were able to drive it within our lot. We did notice the electronic transmission goes into protective-limp idle mode after the car is started and driven around for few minutues. It is most likely a sensor or related electronic issue rather than a real transmisison issue. We've had several 3 and 5 series BMW's with such problem so its a common issue with several possible electronic-sensor related fixes. A simple search on e46fanatics.com shows many threads related to such issue and possible fixes (old battery, reset/reprogram of TCM, camshaft position sensor, etc). All glass good. Interior is in good condition with good looking black leather. Nothing major stolen from the vehicle and most likely taken for a joy ride. Has good looking tires. Comes equipped with Winter package with heated seats, dual power seats, wood trim interior, power sunroof, and more... Overall should be an easy fixer with no major parts needed as the dent on the door can be bumped out and rest should be an easy paint job. See many photos down below.

A SMALL NOTE ON SALVAGE VEHICLES

We specifically deal with light damaged or theft recovered salvage rebuildable vehicles. This vehicle was picked up from an insurance auction for resale. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles.

We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Please check with your local motor vehicle center for the exact procedures and rules/regulations.
