    1984 PORSCHE 944

     

    Washington state

     

    This is real nice driving and real clean 1984 Porsche 944 with the 2.5 4 cylinder motor. She is a dark red metallic weith tan interior. She has mostly original paint with a little paining up front because of the PRE 3M rock chip era. She has always been a good weather car so no rust issues what so ever.

     

    Interior is real clean with no rips or serious wear. The dash is perfect which is not always the case. Everything is in working order including windows and sun roof. The gauges all work too.

    Mechanically, she fires up and drives out good. I took her home a couple times because I was curious about the 944. Never drove one though I have sold over 100 Porsche 928's. THE EARLY DAYS. The 2.5 seems very strong and cvhirpy and I could not feel anything wrong with her mechanically. Clutch is good and she shifts very smoothly.The hydraulic rams that hold the hood up have slowly lost hydro's so they need to be replaced or fixed?

     

    The paint and body are straight but the are sume unavoidable rock chips up front but the paint has a garaged sorta shince and is very straight with no bubbles or dings or dreaded dents.

     

    Overall, I would say you will feel good owing this 944. Looking around, they really seem to have been beaten up. I found a few nice examples but for the most part a lot needing to be restored.
