Chevrolet Kodiak Monster Pickup Truck - built on a C7500 Chassis

The truck is available for purchase during this single listing for only about 13 times the cost of just the custom Driveshaft alone that was built for it . That is what I call a giveaway. Only reason for selling is due to a medical problem with a family member and rather than store it until a point where I might have the time to finish it I am going to let it go

The total build cost to date has been well over twice the sale price here not counting the original purchase price of the truck - The Monroe Factory Conversion Kodiak and Topkick Pickups were $80K and up to $100K+ for some so these are pretty pricey vehicle. This truck is currently insured for $33K based on the insurers valuation. No matter what this sale is a give away - you could not build this truck for what I am asking even if someone gave you a clean Kodiak to start with for free!

The truck is a turn key running, driving, state inspected, licensed vehicle. Insurance is about $50 a month on my record. There are no bumper height laws for this GVW chassis. There are no emissions regulations. The truck drives more like a regular sized pickup than a delivery or dump truck

It is a factory multi fuel engine currently set up to run on propane. It cost me only $2.69 cents a gallon to fill it up last time on Propane at Uhaul with a 20 gallon discount and the prices are still dropping from the winters highs - that is road cost Propane filled at many places including UHaul, Tractor Supply, etc. It has 80 gallon on board capacity in the frame tanks and I have another 80 gallon auxiliary tank that goes with it for the bed (not currently installed, we removed it). It is a dual fuel engine so if you would like to run gasoline you can, and all of the fuel injection is completely intact - all you will need is a tank and pump. This is a factory Impco propane conversion, not some aftermarket kit.

The truck runs very well and burns clean and has plenty of pull

Overall this truck gets more looks than anything I have ever seen. If you have a Lamborghini and don't get enough attention then maybe you should try this truck.

It would be PERFECT as an advertising tool for a company or for use at events, and it is wrap ready. If you can finagle some green energy credits for the use of an alternative fuel, or better yet if that is your field, then this is perfect fit.

The body is straight, rust free top and bottom, and is in Satin black, or Hot Rod black. The satin finish is not up to my level of acceptance not due to body work, but rather due to the technique required to pull off one of those finishes, but it certainly is a straight and solid body - this body could EASILY be block sanded down from here and finished in either another satin coat or base coat clear coat finish with very little work - there is no major body work to be done at all - it is just a matter of trigger discipline at this point on the satin coat or technique on a regular paint job.

As far as an advertising or graphics wrap, it is ready to go right now

The undercarriage is extremely clean - no grease, oil, road dirt, tar, rust, or anything - it looks great. No leaks or problems. Tires are newer. Vehicle was professionally maintained on a scheduled commercial program.

We have several new parts that are not currently installed - a brand new Valley Chrome front Bumper with driving lights, made in the USA, as well as the US made rear chrome bumper with drop hitch. We have several new interior parts including a brand new Leather split bench seat with center seat and folding console, new headliner and upholstery and several other new parts - the interior parts are not in at this time, but it should be back from the upholstery shop by the end of March for pickup or to even get pictures

The RPO option list is so full on this truck that it took the factory 2 RPO sticker sheets to list them all. One of the main ones is the highly sought after L-21 engine. This is a 6th Generation, Mark IV Big Block Chevy that has distributorless coil near plug ignition, a fully forged bottom end, both crankshaft and rods AND pistons, a Roller Cam (reportedly the 502 Crate Motor part), and will accept ANY previous performance cylinder head offered for the BBC. It has the factory Impco conversion, but is a true dual fuel engine with all of its fuel injection in place including the ECU

Below is a short list of specifications and features.

All in all it is a nice turn key truck that needs very little from here to finish it.

My plan before the family member health situation happened was for minor body modification including twin 3 inch round projector headlights on each fender (not hard to do at all) and remove and fill the front truck turn signals and use LED strips for them. Also we had a Rockwell axle set and transfer case to make it a 4 X 6, and those parts might actually still be available to the buyer of this machine separately from the people we sold them to.

The next buyer can take it from here - no matter what you could not build this truck for what we are asking even if someone gave you a free Kodiak to start with. Like I posted early in the listing, the custom made driveshaft was almost $1500 bucks alone. For only a mere 13 times what the driveshaft cost you can have the entire truck - Just the custom built thick wall tubing driveshaft was almost $1500 bucks after U Joints, splines, machine work and balancing - you do the math

Good luck thinking you can build one for less - that would be a classic example of false economics, or by definition "an action that saves money at the beginning but which, over a longer period of time, results in more money being spent or wasted than being saved"

I would assume that most buyers of a vehicle of this nature would have numerous questions that just simply cannot be addressed in the space restrictions of this type of internet document - feel free to get me your phone number and I will go over whatever I know or have discovered about this truck.

In short, it is a very serious, very expensive piece of equipment and has quite a bit of potential. My unfortunate circumstantial loss could quite possibly be your substantial gain.

As with all modified vehicles this truck is being sold as is, but it does have a current March 2014 safety inspection for Missouri buyers....

This is a cash only sale unless otherwise agreed upon

Thanks for looking

XXXX Here is a copy of the Carfax on the truck - No accidents, no damage - all green checkmarks - "Guaranteed no problem" on salvage/ junk / rebuilt / fire / hail / flood / lemon
