When it comes to the English, ‘tradition’ is one of the most important words in the language.  The MG company after World War II hung on to tradition with classic pre-war car design until the late 1950s, the TC, TD and TF were all beautiful designs but they had their roots in pre-WWII classic car design.  So it is not hard to believe that when the MG Company decided to go modern with an envelope body, they decided to call the new body the MGA, and years of thought, sorting and design were incorporated into this model.

When the MGA made its debut it was an absolute sensation around the globe and developed an immediate loyal following that still exists today.  The MGA owners were serious drivers and most of the MGAs were driven until the wheels were ready to fall off.  So it is hard today to find an MGA in the condition of this MGA for sale in this ad.

The MGA that is in this ad has been owned by a MG enthusiast for well over 30 years.  It has been loved and babied during its ownership.  It is a highly sorted out and well maintained car and is basically ready to go for this spring & summer tours and car shows.  It is not a ‘show queen’ but a beautiful driver and creates a stir of interest whenever it is parked with old timers who know exactly what it is and the youth that have never seen one and are closely checking it out.

We love, love, love the beautiful Old English Ivy paint job on this 1958 MGA (and what a great color to make sure you are seen either driving during the day or night!)

The seller purchased the car in 1976 and the car’s records have been well maintained since that time.  One only needs to see the seller’s chronological list below showing all the work done to this car to be assured that this is a highly sorted out MGA.  To top this off, the seller has told us that the engine, transmission and rear end is the drive train that the car was born with.  Check out the list for your inspection and edification.  Also the seller has provided us with beautiful photos for you to view in both the video and below.
