Incredible Mark VIII Built by Sean Hyland

Up for sale today is this gorgeous 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC 2 Door Coupe with solid white paint and a grey interior.  The 4V Cobra engine was built from the ground up by none other than Sean Hyland and it has a beefed-up automatic transmission under the hood as well.  It's 4.6L supercharged V-8 engine sounds incredible and this racer really moves when prmopted.  We are still working on getting a full spec sheet, but this incredible build is fully loaded, air conditioned and incredibly powerful.  It is also likely the fastest sleeper that we’ve ever seen…and that’s saying something in the Bay Area.

Please note that this vehicle is not for sale in the state of California due to emissions/smog regulations.  To see if it can be legally registered in your state, please contact your local DMV.

Only Example Ever Built for Street Driving

While everyone in the racing world has heard of notorious engine builder Sean Hyland, few have probably heard of this very special 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII.  Only three were built by Sean for a wealthy Florida customer and this is the only one designed for the street (the other 2 were track cars).  From a custom driveshaft to a specialty-built steel transmission to the super chip programming, this gorgeous racer was built with blistering performance in mind.  The final tally at the flywheel was 739 horsepower, which the current owner had professionally tuned down to a mere 550 at the rear wheels.

In terms of condition, this ’98 Lincoln Mark VIII could almost pass for new with only 37,352 original miles.  The interior does show the slightest signs of wear, but the body and the engine compartment are absolutely spotless.  Likewise, it is in incredible mechanical shape and it easily one of the fastest sports cars on the West Coast at this time.  This is definitely not your grandfather’s Lincoln by any means; there is over $40k invested in this engine alone!

De-Tuned to 550 HP (originally a 739 HP Monster)

Overall, this one-of-a-kind 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII is an absolutely incredible vehicle and a ridiculously good steal at the current asking price.  With such a huge demand for Sean Hyland’s work, one lucky buyer is going to have a collectible that will skyrocket in value over the years.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Redwood City, California showroom, give us a call, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # 30901 as well.
