The Chevrolet Fleetline is an automobile which was produced by US automaker Chevrolet from 1941 to 1952. From 1946 to 1948 it was a sub-series of the Chevrolet Fleetmaster rather than a series in it's own right. From 1949 to 1951 it was a sub-series of both the Chevrolet Special and the Chevrolet Deluxe. In its final year it was offered only as a sub-series of the latter.
The Fleetline was introduced late in the 1941 model year as a 4-door sedan. In 1942 a fastback, 2-door "Aerosedan" was also offered. In 1947, the Fleetline made up 71.26% of Chevrolet's sales. The fastback was the only model offered for the 1949 through 1952 models and Chevrolet dropped the Fleetline for 1953. Production was indefinitely delayed in 1942 due to World War II, after 110,000 total had been made all though several thousand Chevrolet coupes and sedans were produced during the war years for military staff use. In 1945 production for civilians resumed. The original series was produced through 1948 and although the fastback Fleetline returned with the new-design Chevys in 1949 it was never again as popular and was phased out in 1952. This is a chance to acquire one of the nicest.
MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome two-tone green 1946 Chevrolet Fleetline you see pictured. This car is largely original and among the prettiest of the fastback General Motors coupe bodies of the 1940's.
Finished in two-toned Liveoak Green Metallic and Silver Gray Green Metallic, the paint is in excellent condition, showing only very minor imperfections. Body contours are excellent, as is the brightwork throughout. Doors have nice even gaps and shut well. The Fleetline sits upon a set of chrome Chevrolet dish wheels wrapped in P235/75R/15 white wall tires.
Inside, the interior is finished in tan striped flat cloth and looks superb! The seats and carpet show minimal signs of wear and the material might be original. The dash appears to look pretty original and looks great with the texture of the wood. The lights, blinkers and wipers are in working order in exception of the horn.
Under the hood, you’ll find a very clean and well sorted 216cc Inline 6-cylinder engine attached to a “three on the tree” manual transmission.
This is a beautifully restored Fleetline still with some originality and would make an excellent addition to any collection or a wonderful Sunday driver. The VIN is 5FKH32965 and the mileage currently shows 84,206. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
