 1-owner 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the 4.0L inline 6cyl engine, an automatic transmission, and 105K miles.  This Jeep is completely stock and non-modified in any way.  1997 was the first year of the TJ era body style, which ran from 1997-2006.  These earlier year TJ Wranglers are getting harder and harder to find, especially in the rather remarkable condition that this Jeep Wrangler is in.  The "bullet-proof" 4.0L in-line 6cyl motor runs like a top. The automatic transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease.  The exterior paint is in great condition and is nice and shiny.  The interior is in the type of condition that one would not expect to find in an earlier TJ.  The seats show such little wear that the color scheme looks to be just as in the same condition as it was when new.  The 15" grizzly wheels were factory Jeep wheels that were only seen on the first two years of the TJ body style, 1997-1998.  The tires were recently replaced and have 80%+ tread life left.  The soft top is the factory OEM factory top that is in like new condition and is free of any rips, tears, or wear at all. The rear 3 windows are tinted, and all of the zippers go up and down with ease. This Jeep has been pre-wired for a hardtop with the rear wiper and rear defroster controls. If a hardtop is desired in the future, this Jeep is ready for one to plug and play.  The factory original AM/FM/Casette stereo system sounds great and comes with a soundbar to enhance the sound, and allows you to hear the radio with the top down.  4x4 shifts through each gear properly and with ease (2hi, 4hi, and 4lo). Payment

We require a $250 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the completion of the auction.  Deposits can be taken via Paypal or credit card.  The balance due can be paid by cashiers check, money order, loan check, wire transfer, or cash in person. We can work with you on pickup time but we prefer to have the vehicle picked-up/delivered within 10 days of the completion of the auction. Please have financing arranged prior to bidding if needed.

Terms of Sale

If vehicle is going to be registered in Ilinois, 7.25% tax is due at the time of delivery along with tags. Out-of-state buyers will pay tax in their own state or according to "reciprocal state" tax laws.  If you will be registering this vehicle out of the state of Illinois, we will provide you with a 30-day drive-away tag at a state cost of $10.  A $164.30 documentary fee is required for every vehicle purchased.  All vehicles are sold as-is no warranty, unless they are still under manufacturer's warranty.  The miles posted are the actual miles at listing but may vary slightly due to local test-drives, in-transit, and/or demonstration purposes.  You are more than welcome to drive and inspect the vehicle prior to bidding, and we are happy to assist with any type of inspection or 3rd party inspection needs.  Most of our auctions are ended with a phone call, so please don't hesitate to call. Highland Motorsports Inc. is a licensed, bonded, and insured pre-owned auto dealership in Addison, IL 60101.  We are located 25 miles directly west of Chicago and only 20 minutes from O’Hare airport.  We will gladly have complimentary transportation ready to take you from O’Hare airport to Highland Motorsports.
