Up for sale we have a 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback. The fastback Mustang is one of the most sought after cars on the market today. With the ’65 model you get a killer look that truly is iconic and one of the most recognized looks of any muscle car. The one we have is a fresh build that was owned by the same family since the early 90’s. It has a killer look and is guaranteed to grab attention wherever it’s seen. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Mustang. It has good body lines with nice fit of the panels. Everything is covered in the Silver Blue Paint that is accented by the blue stripes that are laid under the clear. The paint shows well with a deep rich shine. This ‘Stang has a GT hood as well as the grill with the driving lights and the correct rear valance with the chrome exhaust tips. All the weather stripping looks to have been replaced as well as the windshield and back glass seals. The bumpers look new as well as other chrome trim. All the window stainless looks very good as well as the glass. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels with new tires.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Fastback. The interior is done in blue and provides a great complement to the exterior scheme. It has the correct bucket seats up front and the fold down seat in the rear. The seat covers, carpet, door panels and head line is all new. When you look at the dash it’s all stock with only an upgrade to the radio. This ’65 even retains the factory seat belts.

Finally we will take a look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it looks just like it would have in 1965 with the inner fenders being black. The engine is a 289 V8 that is mated to a 4 Speed Trans and an 8” Rear End. Everything look stock with painted intake and valve covers. The engine is a fresh build that was done at the same time of the restoration. When you look under it everything is solid with good floors and frame rails. The brakes were redone with new Wheel Cylinders and shoes.
