After the enormous success of Ferrari’s Dino, the Pininfarina shaped 308GTB was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a replacement and a supplement to the Bertone shaped Dino 308 GT4. The GTS targa model was introduced for model year 1977 and sold alongside its coupe’ sibling, the GTB. Both cars sat on a tube frame platform and carried a mid mounted DOHC V8 engine and a 5 speed manual gearbox. For 1980 model year Ferrari introduced Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection and helped decrease emissions and proved to be a reliable set up. The 308 continued onto model year 1985 and proved to be an enormous success for Ferrari. The 308 has become one of the most recognizable and beloved Ferrari’s of all time.

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this beautiful 1980 Ferrari 308GTBi Berlinetta finished in Rosso Corsa over Black leather. This 308GTBi left the Maranello factory in Italy in June of 1980 and invoiced to Ferrari North America where it sold out of a Southern California dealership. The car is believed to have been in Southern California its entire life and only two owners. Having only traveled 29,930 actual miles, this 308GTBi is in beautiful condition. The Rosso Corsa paint shows incredibly well and no flaws or issues. The body of the car is arrow straight and completely dent, ding and rust free. All of the exterior trim pieces and bumpers show very well and free from any damage or issues. The original factory Ferrari wheels have been refinished and look almost new and are wrapped in brand new factory correct spec Michelin tires. The interior of this 308 is all 100% original and shows beautifully. The leather seats are still soft and show almost no signs of wear, the original carpets are in excellent condition, free from any stains or tears and all of the trim, chrome and plastic are in excellent condition. The dashboard is free from any damage or cracking and the original headliner is stain and tear free. The car has just had the timing belt changed 1 week ago and within the last 2,000 miles the car has had a new clutch, fuel pump, fuel pressure accumulator, regulator and distributor and lines. The brake master pump, front and rear pads along with a fuel injection adjustment and clean, valve adjustments and numerous hoses and seals. A new thermostat, gasket and o” rings, coolant sending unit, re-cored radiator, new coolant hoses and gauge all within the last 2,000 miles. The car stars right up and drives exceptionally well. It has smooth acceleration and does not smoke or idle rough. The brakes feel excellent and free from any fading or grinding. The suspension feels very tight and smooth and free from any thumping or creaking. The steering is excellent, tight and precise and does not show any signs of drifting or play in the wheel. The clutch feels excellent and tight, and the gears go in and out of the gate without any grinding or slipping. All of the electrical equipment on the car are in proper working order except the power antenna and clock. All of the windows, headlights, taillights, side marker lights, reverse lights, turn signals, brake lights and dome lights work as well as the AC and engine compartment light. All of the original factory Saint Cobain glass is still on the car and free from any pitting or cracks. The original factory owners manual, Ferrari shop manual, dealer brochure, a complete original Ferrari tool kit in its original bag, the original jack in its original bag, and the spare tire on possibly its original tire are all present with this car. Some receipts from prior work go with the car as well as a clean and clear title with actual miles. This is a beautiful example of Ferrari’s very rare 308GTB Berlinetta model, which some say has prettier and closer shared lines to the original Dino.
