1949 MG TC Midget Roadster VIN – XPAF6198 • Thoroughly & Professionally Restored! • Same owner since 1990 • NUMBERS MATCHING! • 1250cc Inline 4 Cylinder • 4-Speed Manual Transmission • Righthand Drive • Classic MG Wire Wheels • Original MG Instruction Manual Included MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer this very dapper 1949 MG TC “Midget” Roadster. This particular MG has undergone an older tasteful, through and professional restoration that looks wonderful. This is a “numbers matching” car which makes it an excellent candidate for any collection in need of an early post World War II piece! It has been lovingly cared for by the same owner for over 24 years! The TC was the 1st model of MG after the World War II and shared the same engine as the TB. This car was, in fact, exported to the United States even though it was a right hand driver. The body was approximately 4” wider than the TB, allowing more cockpit space. The overall car width remained the same resulting in narrower running boards with two tread strips, as opposed to the previous three. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dashboard in front of the passenger. From September 1945 to November 1949, 10,001 MG TCs were produced, which was more than any other previous MG model! This TC is finished in Sequoia Cream on the outside, which looks astounding and the color really pops! The saddle canvas top is in good condition and easily comes down so that you may feel the wind in your hair out on the open road. This Midget sits elegantly on a set of classic MG wire wheels that are wrapped in 4.50-19 Dunlop tires. The interior is finished in red vinyl and the seats match the front grill, which was the style of most MG TCs. The seats are in great condition and show no major signs of wear or tear. This roadster possesses what appears to be the correct Jaeger gauges. The TC is powered by a 1250cc XPAG overhead valve 4 cylinder engine. The engine is numbered #6198, matching the VIN derivative. Attached to the engine is a 4-speed Syncro-Top manual transmission. There is a small plaque under the hood stating that the restoration was done by Krekovich Automotive Restoration Services of Kansas City, Missouri. There is also three other plates in the engine bay that state the MG attended the “Gathering of the Faithful,” hosted by the Classic MG Club in 1973, 1975 and 1976. Recently we have performed a fresh service on this TC with rebuilt brakes, rebuilt carbs, rebuilt fuel pump, flushed the fuel system and cleaned all connections on electrical system. Included in the purchase of this vehicle is the original MG Instruction Manual. This classic MG TC roadster will give any collection a touch of class and European flair, especially with its matching numbers and tasteful restoration! The VIN is XPAF6198 and the mileage currently shows 9,612. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. We are currently selling this vehicle for the bank trust of the current owner. This gentleman only collected the best examples that he could find in the past three decades and he had an excellent eye for detail. Be sure to stay tuned for other vehicles for sale from this collection including a 1969 Jaguar XKE, 1957 Thunderbird and a 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 with 50 actual miles!
