Up for sale we have a 1955 Ford Custom Line 2D. This 44 has been built from the ground up. The bdoy was removed from the frame and there was not a bolt left unturned. This is a gorgeous car from top to bottom. It is easily one of the finest Fords on the market today. In the paragraphs to follow we will give you a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the exterior of the Customline. As we said this body was completely removed from the frame and every panel was removed and everything was worked until it was better than when it was new. All the panels were assembled to ensure a good fit before they were covered. Everything is covered in the Vicotry Red Base Coat Clear that has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine. All new glass and weather stripping was installed. All the chrome looks either new or in like new condition. The side stainless as well as the window trim was cleaned and polished before it was reinstalled. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’55. The same eye for detail that is evident on the exterior is easy to see on the inside. All the metal dash and trim is painted to match the exterior and provides the perfect transition between the two. The seats are done in a gray tweed with leather inserts. The custom door panels and headliner are done in the same gray tweed. When you look at the dash it looks stock with only a tilt column and a billet steering wheel. The floor shift and pedals are by Locar. As a whole the interior is very neat and clean without being over done.

Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood as with the rest of the car is very clean and neat. All the inner fenders and fire wall is done in the same victory red. The engine is a 429 V8 that is mated to a C6 Trans. It has a lot of add-ons such as the Aluminum Intake, Holley Carb, and Ford Motor Sports Valve covers. To keep it cool on hot days it has Aluminum Radiator and Water Pump. All the pulleys are Billet along with a chrome Alternator. The sound is provided by a set of Short Headers and Flow Master exhaust. To help it stop it has 4 Wheel Disc Brakes. The bottom of this Ford is super solid and well done as expected.
