NOTE: I'm confident you will NOT be disappointed when you see this truck up close in person but if you need a pic of anything in particular before making a decision or offer please don't hesitate to ask! I will take whatever shots you want and just message them to you personally.

As you can see it is the 1954 body style but this one is technically a 1955 as the title and the old serial tag in the drivers door jam indicate.. not to mention the one piece windshield, which was really only unique to the 1954 years of these trucks. It apparently was one of those at the tail end of that production that actually ended in mid '55. And I had Texas update the title about a year ago to reflect the VIN number on that original serial tag, NOT the original engine serial, so the paperwork is all matched up again. Oh and BTW, the current I6 engine serial dates the ol straight shooter to be from a '56, so it's been swapped out. No surprise there and you know you probly wouldn't have even noticed this if I didn't mention it?! The truck has obviously never really been seriously restored or anything but it is in VERY nice solid shape, sits nice and square on the street, hardly ANY rust and if you scratch around you can still find traces of the original blue in various places on the body parts (including the fenders) indicating that it's still has pretty much all the same metal since day one.. as far as I can tell? I'm not sure about the hood or grill though? I have a bumper for the front but one of the brackets is busted. The body doesn't show any evidence of any serious repairs in the past either.. including rust. There's hardly ANY on this thing! I can't find anything wrong with the frame either. It took me a long time to find a '54 body this “clean” cuz I personally don't buy ANYTHING that's all banged up OR with rust. Yeah I know it's 60 years old but I don't care! Oh, I picked this up about year ago myself for a project (that and i always wanted one of these!) but some plans to migrate deep south are coming to fruition a bit sooner than expected.. so I'm just going to let everything go for now!? I mean I'm planning on driving or FLYING myself there so I literally have to get rid of everything!?!

This thing will start, run and move under its own power basically as is but it will need a minimal of things fixed up to be safe for the street. Yes it really cud be rigged up and just driven like it is! That's what I WAS gonna do?! The engine runs pretty decent for being that old, I mean it doesn't really smoke or rattle too bad AND it has reasonable compression and oil pressure. NO dead cylinders! I've seen the oil, amp, and temp gauge move pretty good and if I remember correctly I think the fuel gauge ohm'd out just fine too? I haven't seen the speedo move lately but I think it's just the cable going down to the trans? It only has 45,937 miles currently indicated.. which probly explains why the body is still so clean? The amp gauge is currently bypassed but it will move a little up or down of charging if hooked back up. It was weak but I saw it move a little while playing with it the last time. The 3 speed needs a back seal/bearing cuz it leaks fluid at the driveshaft yoke. The shifter was relocated to the floor by the previous guy, but it needs to be redone. It works, it's just REAL sloppy. Steering is real sloppy too but it'll stay pretty straight on the road. Hey you'd be a little sloppy too after 60 years?! The shifter and the rear axle are basically the only major changes that have been done I believe? Most of the original brake system is still all there and functional too but it keeps leaking fluid at one of the cylinders I think? The original looking master cylinder works ok. I did get the wiring roughly back in place for the inspection so the lights and blinkers are all working pretty good. I didn't rig a horn in yet. The bed is currently just bolted down at the 4 corners but it won't fly off. Up close the tailgate is pretty smooth and straight. The hood is currently just sitting on it but mainly just needs some bolts and stuff which I'll take care of before selling it? The glass is all in good shape but the one in the passenger door has cracks. It's still solid tho. I have the original behind the seat gas tank currently removed and it'll go with the truck of course. I was gonna use a beer keg in the bed or something? I was just testing it around the neighborhood last year with a gas can rigged up with a hose from the bed. I had a current tag that I never really stuck on the windshield but I think it's expired now. Oh and the wheels that you see on it aren't really balanced. They're just on there for moving it around.

I was just gonna finish fixing up a few things and just get it inspected and drive it basically as is for a while but like I said plans changed for me and I gotta get going soon so here ya go!
