This 1951 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck "Advanced Design" is in original condition. The car is driveable and mostly stock. This is a bone stock vehicle, the truck has a straight six "stovebolt" Chevrolet engine and a 3 speed column shift manual transmission. It has a six bolt lug suspension for the 3100 1/2 ton pickup model. The odometer shows 42,345 miles. We are a private party.

Owner History: It was owned by Mr. Michael Cade, a celebrity who was in the NBC Television series "California Dreams" and the 1992 Movie "Charlie Chaplin". The original title with his signature is included to be transferred to the new owner.

The truck has a rebuilt engine and a fairly recent paint job. It also has a new 6-Volt battery installed a week ago.

All four tires are bias ply mounted on the original stock steel rims with hubcaps.

It even has its original AM radio

The license and registration are paid and through July 2014. Clean Title in Hand. This vehicle is sold "as-is" and is not a concourse trailer queen. It's a presentable driver quality truck. Please understand it is 63 years old and is not perfect. Pre purchase inspections are welcome.

Brief History

The 1948-1953 Chevrolet Series 3100 half-ton pickups benefited from a redesign that took Chevy trucks into a new era of comfort, convenience, and style.

Chevy's restyled "Advance-Design" trucks were introduced in 1947, well ahead of its first new postwar cars, and little changed in appearance through 1953. The basic intent was to provide more room and comfort for occupants.

In 1951 the left-side cowl vent was eliminated and was replaced by door vent windows. New push-button door handles were a 1952 model year introduction. As such, 1951 is the only year with the vent side windos and a the older style pull door handles.
