The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this beautifully restored 1960 Volkswagen Beetle. Restored by CHRIS VALLONE OF CLASSIC VW BUGS, in New York. “MINTY” features her original 1400cc air cooled engine mated to her 4-speed manual transmission. She is certainly one of the nicest looking bugs that we have seen. Sporting 2 stage, base coat/clear coat paint, her MINT GREEN exterior has great luster and shine. All chrome was redone at the time of the restoration as well. Her correct original convex chrome hubcaps are in excellent shape, they are shod with Mastercraft Metric radial whitewall tires with plenty of tread. They give a great period look while offering modern road holding and handling. The white interior was also reupholstered with great attention to detail. New Vinyl adorns the seats and door cards while her headliner and pillars are wrapped in mohair (read expensive $$$) giving a polished rich look. Unique to this bug, the interior features a wicker shelf located below the existing dash which gives the car cute touch. Bid with confidence, as you can own this special little bug for a fraction of the restoration cost. She has a clear California title, and is registered as a 1960 (often happened back in the day).
