This Firebird was transformed into a Trans Am, and the vehicle was originally from the dry state of Arizona. The first generation of Pontiac Firebirds lasted only two year, but those two years were the beginning of a flagship muscle car. The Trans Am package debuted in 1969. The Trans Am was a specialty package for the Firebird, typically upgrading handling, suspension and horsepower as well as minor appearance modifications such as exclusive hoods, spoilers, fog lights and wheels. Four distinct generations were produced between 1969 and 2002. These cars were built on the F-body platform, which was also shared by the Chevrolet Camaro. According to previous accounts, this Trans Am was originally a straight Firebird from Arizona. The exterior is the correct Cameo White with dual Tyrol Blue stripes — the only color for the first year of the Trans Am package. The luminescent front and rear Pontiac emblems will shine in the afternoon sun as will the chrome brightwork with just minor nicks and scratches. The first year of the spoiler, the Ram Air hood and new Firebird mirrors stand out on this remarkable recreation. This Firebird sits on four correct 15-inch Rally II PMD wheels wrapped in four whitewall BF Goodrich radial tires measuring P235/60R15. The interior is a well-maintained blue vinyl that shows no major signs of wear or tear. The headliner, carpet and door panels are clean and fresh. The seatbelts are also new, but we will note that the horn is currently inoperable. A new stereo and speakers have been installed. The gauges are correct, and the hood tachometer is and exact reproduction of the dealer-installed option. Under the hood, a YS 400-CID V8 engine with 4-BC from a 1969 GTO powers this Trans Am replica coupe. This particular engine is mated with a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission. There is a dual exhaust, power steering, transmission, power front disc brakes, and this bird comes with a new jack with case as well. This is a great example of a Trans Am tribute and will fit well into any collection looking for a late ‘60s muscle car. VIN is 223379N107785, mileage currently reads 54,983, and it is being sold on a clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
