History

     Armbruster Stageway has a rich tradition in the funeral car industry that dates back for over one hundred years. Armbruster Stageway was started by three Fort Smith men building and restoring horse drawn wagons. As the transportation industry changed, so did Armbruster Stageway. When a bus company asked if a regular vehicle could be stretched for professional purposes to make short transportation runs, Armbruster accepted the challenge and built the first combustion engine limousine. Building Airport transports, hotel cars, funeral coaches and limousines, Armbruster Stageway made its mark on the industry as the sign of excellence in professional vehicles. As the oldest name in the professional vehicle industry, Armbruster Stageway is back in business and building limousine and funeral coaches in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Friends of the Professional Car Society is the official website of the Professional Car Society, Inc. (Society). Our membership is primarily dues paying members of the Society; however, it is not a requirement that you belong to the Society to participate in our website. The professional car is loosely defined as a custom bodied vehicle based on passenger car styling and used in the funeral, rescue, or livery services. Such vehicles may be hearses, flower cars, service cars, ambulances, limousines, or cars which are specially built to combine two or more of these different functions-combination hearse-ambulances, sedan-ambulances, or invalid coaches. The Society was founded in 1976 to encourage the preservation of such vehicles. At that time, many of these vehicles had no established classes in multi-marquee antique car organizations. The Society's growth since that time has helped to establish the position of the professional car in more clubs and shows, and has served to preserve many of these vehicles for future collectors to restore and enjoy.

A: All titles are clear negotiable titles from the state of issuance; all titles are processed by an independent experienced Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) title company to insure you receive an accurate title. In some cases due to vehicle type a new title will be issued to you which can take several weeks. California buyers may be responsible for additional fees relating to instate transactions please check with your Department of Motor vehicles prior to bidding. Under California law all vehicles in California over 10 years old are mileage exempt including this vehicle. All listing will have a scanned copy of the title in the listing unless the consigning NPO organization requires a new title issued to you.

A: All titles and supporting documents are sent certified through the United States Postal Service (USPS) and can be followed at www.usps.com; you will receive a tracking number once the title is sent. International documents will be sent through international certification.

A: yes, you can and it does not have to be running.

A:Yes,and you can choose the charity you want to support.

Q:Can I hear the vehicle run?

A: Yes, in most cases we take a video of the vehicle running, unless the vehicle is stated as a non running vehicle, which will be clearly stated in the listing.

Q: How long can I keep my vehicle at your location after it has been paid for?

A: The vehicle can be stored for 14 days after the end of the listing at no cost to you.

Q: Can I arrange extra storage?

A: Yes, the vehicle can be stored at our secured facilities for up to a maximum of two months (60) days at $175.00 per month payable at the time of purchase. Afterwards the vehicle will be sold at lien sale and the proceeds given to charity.

Q:Can you assist my transporter when they arrive at your location?

A: Yes, the vehicle will only be released to your authorized transporter, for added security we require an email from you authorizing your transporter to pick up your vehicle; the vehicle will not be released without proper authorization. We will photograph or video the pick up to make sure your transporter is taking the utmost care when transporting your vehicle.

Q:Can you assist me with my international transport?

A: Yes we can, as we have over 15 years experience in international vehicle transactions and transportation, we can help expedite the entire process by providing your transporter or shipping agent with the proper documentation for export.

Q:How much time do I have pay for the item?

A: Complete payment is required within (3) Three days) after the listing ends.

Q:What type of payments do you accept?

A: Cash, Cash will only be accepted in person Cashiers Check’s, Direct Deposit and Bank to Bank wire transfers.

Direct deposit or Bank to Bank wire transfer required for out of state or international buyers. All payments must clear the bank before the vehicle will be released.

Q:Do you accept PayPal deposits?

A: Yes, An immediate $250.00 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours to cover our listing cost.

Q:Any additional fees?

A: Yes, There is a $99.00 processing fee on all vehicle transactions, the fee cannot be waived.

Q:Can I get picked up at the airport?

A: Yes, a volunteer will pick you up at the Ontario International airport located in Ontario California. We cannot pick up at any other airport. Please inform us prior to your flight arrival.

Q:Is an eBay purchase a legally binding Contract?

A: Yes it is a binding and federally enforceable contract. By bidding on this vehicle you are entering into a legal contact with our organization immaterial of EBay’s impartial position, all contractual and collection laws will be enforced.

Q:What if I don’t pay?

A: Please do not submit a bid if your funds are not available and you are not 100% ready to own this item at this time. Due the excessive cost of non performing bidders we have to aggressively pursue nonpayment bidders, your nonpayment account will be sent to a professional collection agency in your jurisdiction and legal action will occur, a judgment will result in a lien being placed on your banks accounts and will remain on your credit reports for up to 10 years.
