This is a 2006 Freightliner Sprinter 2500HC Cargo Van with the legendary 2.7L Mercedes-Benz 5-Cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine and 5-Speed Automatic Transmission. This is an excellent, strong van that is ready to drive wherever you want to take it. The engine is very strong and doesn't smoke, doesn't leak, and doesn't have any blow-by or make any strange noises. The transmission shifts perfect. This is not a worn out work truck - it is very tight. Low original mileage. Drives straight and smooth with no issues. I have the clean and clear title in hand. Only 1 owner since new. This is a clean van inside and out.

 

I just had this Sprinter completely checked out and serviced at a local shop that specializes in European diesel vehicles. They replaced all five glow plugs, the glow plug control unit, and an oxygen sensor. I've been driving this van myself to run errands and such, and it performs great. The engine is very strong and the transmission shifts perfect. No engine or transmission computer fault codes and no warning lights coming on.

 

The interior is in good condition. Everything looks great and the upholstery is in great condition. Everything works great. Does not appear to have ever been smoked in. No strange smells. Very clean inside. Arm rests show some wear. Three of the dash vents are missing some or all of their middle slats. All original books and manuals, 2 keys/remotes, and original tool kit.

 

The exterior is also in good condition. The paint shines excellent. A couple tiny dings, but no noticeable damage or scratches in the body. No cracks or chips in the windshield. As Carfax notes, it was involved in a minor accident in June 2012 at 100k miles. The headlamps, front bumper cover, and grille were replaced. All work was professionally taken care of by the previous owner's fleet insurance company. Since this van is from Kansas City, there are a few tiny spots around door hinges and such where tiny stone chips have turned into tiny rust spots, but no real corrosion anywhere, and the undercarriage looks great. There may be other very minor exterior imperfections, but as you can see, this van really shows excellent.

 

This Sprinter is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it. It drives excellent and is ready to work. I've priced this van cheap to sell quick, and the price is firm. If you'd like to fly in and drive it home, I'll personally bring it to you at the airport when you arrive. If you need it shipped, I can arrange that for you too.

Our History:   Short Motor Company was founded by my Dad, Leo Short, in 1990 after he was a Snap-On Tool dealer for 9 years. He was guided in starting his business by his uncle, John Short, who owned several new and used car dealerships throughout Texas over the course of more than 30 years in the business. I started working for my Dad at age 16, finished high school, and began my college career toward my Associates Degree in Automotive Marketing and Management from Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX. I married my wonderful wife Rachel in 2007 and we welcomed a baby boy to our family in February 2011, and then a baby girl in December 2012. My Dad and I continue to work together: he sells vehicles strictly from his storefront just as he has done from the same location since 1989, while I have chosen to cater to the online community. Since 1989 our family business has been a member in good standing with the Fort Worth Independent Auto Dealers Association, the Texas Independent Auto Dealers Association, and the National Independent Auto Dealers Assocation.

 

When I was 12 years old, my Grandpa gave me a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback that had been sitting in a field since the 1970's. It was my dream car, but once I started looking to buy parts for it and realized that wasn't going to happen with my small budget, I sold it for $1,300. By the time I graduated High School at age 17, I had bought and sold over 30 cars. For my High School yearbook, they made up a new "Most Likely To Be..." category for me - I was "Most Likely To Become President Of Ford Motor Company". When I joined eBay in 1999 I was buying and selling rare Hot Wheels toy cars. Now since 2006 I've been selling pre-owned cars and trucks full-time on eBay and specializing in diesels. Since day one, I've maintained 100% positive feedback with over 350 transactions.

I can also accommodate any buyers who prefer to ride the train or bus into the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well.

- NATIONWIDE "TO YOUR DOOR" DELIVERY OF YOUR VEHICLE -

If you choose to have me deliver your vehicle to you, I can do so personally for $1.75 per loaded mile within a 600 mile radius of ZIP code 76115, and can facilitate that within 3 business days under normal circumstances.

After 2 weeks, a storage fee of $15 per day will be charged.

 

 

If I already have the title to the vehicle it will be given to you in person when you pick up the vehicle, or sent to you via FedEx if you choose to ship the vehicle. If I do not yet have the title (very few cases, but does happen sometimes because of paperwork delays), once I do receive the title (no longer than 10 days after the sale in most cases) it will be sent to you via FedEx.

Winning bidder MUST contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours I reserve the right to sell it to the next highest bidder, re-list the vehicle, or sell it elsewhere. Please do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about owning this vehicle. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay. If financing, make sure your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.

All of my vehicles are thoroughly checked out by my mechanic before they are ever put on eBay and any maintenance needs are taken care of. Most of my customers are from out of state, so I take great care to make absolutely certain (to the best of my ability) that the vehicle is in excellent mechanical (and cosmetic) condition. Please understand these are used vehicles, and may have very minor imperfections that are not noted. I try very hard to describe each vehicle accurately; however, if you have a question about something specific that you feel is not addressed adequately in the description, please call or email me.

Sometimes the vehicle may have slightly more miles on it after the auction is over than what it had when the eBay listing started. This will not be a drastic mileage increase (usually only a couple hundred miles at the most), but it does happen on occasion because of test drives and demonstrations during the auction.
