As seen in the pictures down below this nice looking 2001 Mercedes SLK320 V6 Hardtop Convertible has no physical damage. This vehicle was directly purchased from insurance auctions for resale. No middle man involved. This vehicle however was not salvaged by the insurance company and we have the CLEAN TITLE (no-liens) at hand and ready to transfer to the new owner. The overall condition of the vehicle is clearly shown with many photos below. Overall paint is in good condition with some light scratches as seen in the pics. Paint still has the shine. No signs of previous paintwork. Has good looking tires and alloy wheels in great condition. Interior is fully in tact. The the car starts, engine runs great, and we were able to drive it within our lot and on a side street. But we've noticed that at some starts, the engine surges (similar to an air intake leak), rpm fluctuates, and gas pedal loses power (no acceleration). We were able to pull only one code from the ODB, P0120 which is for a TPS/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction. A simple search on Mercedes Forums on the internet has many possibly solutions to this known issue. It can be a problem with the throttle sensor or a common-known malfunction of the accelarator pedal which has the throttle sensor, OR a failure at the Mass Ariflow Sensor (MAF) which is under the hood somewhere near the intake? These are just some  common areas that might cause such failure which we found out with a simple search at www.slkworld.com. We leave it up to the buyer to determine the exact cause of the issue which is probably something simple as replacing a sensor or the accelarator assembly (gas pedal which can be found here on ebay). Again, the ENGINE RUNS GREAT when it starts normal and the issue happens intermittently which again indicates a sensor issue. The power convertible top opens and closes with the push of a button. A SMALL NOTE ON SALVAGE VEHICLES

We specifically deal with light damaged or theft recovered salvage rebuildable vehicles. This vehicle was picked up from an insurance auction for resale. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles.

We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Please check with your local motor vehicle center for the exact procedures and rules/regulations.
