Fee and Tax Information:

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auctions conclusion. Final payment is due within 3 days of the auction’s conclusion. If we are not contacted within 24 hours after the end of the auction, Land Rover Knoxville reserves the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or do what it deems necessary with the vehicle.  We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale. 

 

It is the buyer’s obligation to fully inspect the vehicle before delivery.  All out-of-state sales are AS IS, and no warranties of any kind are provided except any remaining OEM warranty.  We have a range of warranty options available to you, and we would be happy to provide a free, no obligation quote.

We will accept certified bank checks and bank to bank wire transfer of funds (please calls us for routing and account numbers).  We will also accept your credit union or bank auto financing check from any reputable institution.

The buyer is responsible for all local state, county, and city tax fees, as well as title and registration fees. Out of state buyers will be responsible for above fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered and any others that may apply.  For our in state, Tennessee buyers a state and local sales tax will apply. 

The Buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping of the vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped we will gladly assist you in making arrangements. We will also be more than happy to pick you up at McGhee Tyson Airport and bring you to our dealership so you may inspect the vehicle. 

 

We reserve the right to end this listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.  Please do not bid unless you are serious about owning this vehicle. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay.

 About Us

In the spring of 1915, Knoxville Motor Company was incorporated as a franchise dealer for Jefferies automobiles. The business was located in a field at the north end of Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. Two years later, Charles W. Nash resigned as President of General Motors and purchase the Jeffries factory, renaming the car “Nash.” Knoxville Motor Company remained a Nash dealer through the World Wars and the “Great Depression” and became an American Motors Dealer in 1955 with the merger of Nash and Hudson.

 

The Mercedes-Benz franchise was added in 1962, and Knoxville Motor Company remained a dual point dealership until the American Motors franchise was sold in 1970. As an exclusive Mercedes-Benz dealer, Knoxville Motor Company was moved to 4835 Kingston Pike, and the Saab franchise was added in 1974.

 

In January 1981, an ownership management change took place while the location of the dealership remained the same. In 1983, the Saab franchise was sold and Knoxville Motor Company was once again an exclusive Mercedes-Benz dealership.

 

In September 1997 Knoxville Motor Company was moved to it’s present location at 10131 Parkside Drive. The name Knoxville Motor Company was changed to Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville in 1999 as part of Mercedes-Benz North America’s quest to unify names of franchise dealers.

 

Land Rover Knoxville was opened as part of the automotive group at 10215 Parkside Drive in October 1997 making our dealerships the first of many automotive dealerships to open along the new Parkside Drive.
