    Description

     

    This Blue and White traditional GTS Iconic coupe is far from traditional especially regarding performance.  The 96 cars were one of the most iconic cars in Dodge’s repertoire, this car was in such high demand in the 90’s and the orders ran so heavy the spilt over into 1997. Only 1136 for 1996 cars were built.

     

    This car was then shipped to Heffner in Florida to have the car installed with a TWIN TURBO system which is outstanding, and gave it 866Hp/925TQ to the WHEEL!!! No crank numbers here, this is to the ground! Heffner is one of the top turbo tuners in the country! The work is A+ Heffner had the heads worked over and ported and polished, installed the TT system, larger fuel system, AEM engine management controller, custom fabricated stainless TT headers, larger clutch, you name it and it was done to make this system complete at a cost of over $41000!! (A more detailed list is below). The nitrous system is still in the car and plumbed up for show only. The electrical was not wired in after the TT kit was installed but is there if the new owner wants it or just wants a purge show at car shows. Kids love seeing that big composite bottle sitting in the back at car shows, it draws more attention that the European exotics!

    Service since last ownership the car has been freshened up a few things, had the turbo replaced with identical units about 500 miles ago. The seals wore out over the years from non-use, to keep it exactly how Heffner had it built I replaced with exact parts. The only upgrade completed to the Heffner TT install was install two crankcase breather tanks with new AN fittings and SS lines to let the valve covers breathe easier with less pressure. The AEM was upgraded to a 2010 model with all updated software, Unitrax half shafts are installed to take the power, AEM air/fuel gauge, AEM Boost gauge, Pillar mount pod, SRT Wheels give the car an updated look, and huge Stoptech 4 piston drilled big brake kit. This car also has 3.55 gears with a limited slip in the rear end 

    This car although it is a beast is very street able. It is not like the big 1500Hp Twin turbo out there that you can't drive on the street because they simply lose traction getting on the freeway. This car if kept under 2500rpm is almost like driving a stock Viper, but when the turbo spool up WATCH OUT and hang on! This combo makes it very easy to drive around town or out to dinner, but when a ZR1 pulls up next to you wanting to play, you can leave them so far behind they won't know what happened! For even more piece of mind Heffner installed a high and low boost toggle switch. At low boost it takes the power down to approx. 750Hp and 750TQ for even more relaxed Sunday drives. Hit the switch and you are instantly back to full power & boost.
