Description

This 1965 Chevy C10 Pickup is a great old work truck that was just donated to a local charity by the executor of an estate. Powered by the dependable Chevy straight six with a three on the tree transmission, this truck is just like the one your grandfather probably had.

61K miles showing on a 5 digit odometer, (so total mileage is unknown) it runs and drives well but will require some cosmetic work if the old farm truck look isn't your thing.

Originally white, this truck now wears a complete coat of red oxide primer. There are a few rust spots, (see photos) that you may or may not want to repair. The worst are a few holes in the edge of the floorboards that should probably take priority. The bed is wood, and has some rotted boards near the tailgate that have been covered with a piece of plywood.

Inside is all business with no AC, power steering, or even seat belts! There is an AM/FM 8track that was installed in the 1970's and a variety of magnetic clips for holding your directions. The seat is recovered in naugahide and then covered with a cheap seat cover, but both are worn through on the driver's side from years of entry/exit.

Mechanically is where this truck shines. Obviously well maintained, it fires up quickly and idles nicely. The clutch and brakes feel good and the tires look virtually new. It just purrs down the road.

Leave it as is and you have a nice piece of Americana. Or you could restore/hot rod it. A great old truck that was the previous owner's sidekick for 40 years. Low Reserve

Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A 25% deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 3 days of auction end. Payment can be made by Cash in person, Paypal, Bank Wire Transfer, Visa or Mastercard. Maximum amount payable by Paypal, Visa or Mastercard is $5K due to transaction charges. Out of state buyers will receive a California title in their name within two to three weeks after full payment is received. We invite bidders to come see and drive the vehicle at our location in Redwood City CA. prior to placing a bid Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle.
