Instructions and Bidding Policies

Questions:  First, we strive to make things easy.  Below, we’ve included a few special instructions and some bidding policies for you to review.

Bidding: Please do not bid if you're not seriously interested or financially able to purchase this vehicle, and/or if you are under 18 years of age.  Please read eBay's "User Agreement".

Bidding/Purchasing New Vehicles ONLY:  New vehicles (including new demonstrators) are NOT available for sale outside of the United States of America (USA), nor are they eligible for export or primary use outside of the country.  If we have knowledge of or suspect that any bid winner will not abide by this policy, we will not transfer ownership and cancel the sale.  This policy DOES NOT apply to pre-owned vehicles.

Bid Retraction:  Please read eBay's "Retracting a Bid".  If you place a bid before the last 12-hour period of the auction, you may retract the bid before the last 12-hour period only for exceptional circumstances.  You will not be allowed to retract that bid during the last 12-hour period of the auction.  If you place a bid during the last 12-hour period of the auction, you will be allowed to retract the bid for exceptional circumstances only if you do so within one hour after placing the bid.

Bid Winner’s Deposit: 
A non-refundable deposit of $500.00

US FUNDS must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the Auction.  When
the deposit has been submitted, "Buyer" MUST email a copy of their
valid, state-issued driver's license to us at sales@tipotexchevrolet.com
or fax to 956-983-1884.

Buyer's Inspection:  We do our best to disclose all information known
about this vehicle for auction and we welcome a “Buyer's Inspection”.  If you plan to have a Buyer's Inspection, please make sure to have the vehicle inspected prior to the end of the auction during our normal business hours. 
Inspections must take place at our facility (off-site, unsupervised
inspections not allowed).  A normal test-drive on the roadways in the vicinity of the dealership with our staff member present is allowed.  Inspection fees, if any, are the "Buyer's" sole responsibility.

Dealer Auction Rights: 
DEALER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF THE VEHICLE
BECOMES UNAVAILABLE FOR WHATEVER REASON.

Dispute Resolution:  If a dispute arises, we will attempt to resolve it
directly with you or you may go through eBay’s Resolution Center. 

Financing/Leasing:  For help in arranging financing/leasing or for
any questions regarding these options, please contact us prior to bidding.  We utilize many sources for our customers, including auto finance institutions, banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders.  You don’t have to have perfect
credit to get a loan!   However, you must have a social security number to finance or lease though us.

Odometer Readings:  Due to demo test drives and mechanical inspection
test drives, the mileage of the vehicle represented might be slightly different
than the mileage stated when the vehicle was first listed on eBay.  Please ask and we’ll be happy to send you a photo of the current odometer reading.

Payments - We hold all titles and physical possession of vehicles until funds have been received into our bank account, including finance/lease agreement proceeds. 

Purchase Closing (finalizing):  Winning bidder MUST communicate with us by e-mail or phone within 24 hours (or the following business day) of the end of the auction to make arrangements to complete the transaction.  The remaining balance after the deposit must be paid within 3 business days (excludes Sundays). 
If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed
within the 3 days, we reserve the right to re-list this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer.  Before the vehicle is released for shipment
to the "Buyer", all sale and title-related paperwork must be
completed, signed and returned to the "Seller".

Shipping (Vehicle Available to Ship):  SHIPPING CAN TAKE PLACE AFTER FUNDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED INTO OUR BANK ACCOUNT.  CUSTOMER
IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAXES, REGISTRATION FEES, SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLES LEAVING THE USA
OR THE STATE OF TEXAS.   

Shipping and Delivery:  All shipping charges are the "Buyer's" responsibility.  We will help with shipping arrangements but are not responsible in any way for damage or losses arising from shipping!  We
assume no responsibility for damage once the vehicle leaves our property.  All arrangements provided are strictly a courtesy to you as we are not affiliated with any carrier and have no influence with the way they run their business. Licensed "Carriers" are generally insured for $1,000,000.00, but you should check with them directly.    Any claims or other
communication regarding shipment of vehicles will be between you and the
"Carrier" and not with us. The amount of time it takes for delivery
depends upon the "Carrier" you select.  A typical experience is 7-14 days from the date the vehicle is picked up from our facility
until it is delivered to your destination, depending upon distance and season
of the year. Verify with the "Carrier" for an Estimated Time of Arrival to be sure.  We will notify you when the vehicle is picked up.

Taxes and Fees:  All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for the vehicle to be registered and title.  "Buyer" is responsible not only for
knowing their own states' laws regarding taxes and fees, but also remitting the proper taxes, fees, and documents for their state.  We do register all Texas state residents’ vehicles.

Title Information:  With regards to pre-owned vehicles offered for
sale, their titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans.  In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments of up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off.  While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive.  We will notify you and keep you updated if this happens.

Transportation (Airport Pickup):  Local airport pickups are available at no
charge to the following area airports on weekdays and non-holidays from 7 AM. to 7 PM.:  Brownsville, TX. (BRO), Harlingen, TX. (HRL), and McAllen, TX. (MFE).  For pickups at other times, please contact us for a quote.

Warranty:  Unless stated otherwise, this vehicle is being sold "as is".  Manufacturer's warranties may still apply.  An extended warranty may also be available through us - please ask and we’ll provide any details and associated costs to you.  No representations or warranties are made by the "Seller", nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by "Bidders" in making bids.
