Vehicle Description

This LHD 1986 Landrover Defender Hardtop (removable) 110 FFR ( fitted for radio) is in great shape and ready to be used for a good number of years.

It was released from the UK Army last year. Since this Defender was build for the Ministry of Defense it comes without modern options like power steering and airconditioning.
.
Each of these FFR Land Rovers were individually selected and fully refurbished by the MoD in 2007-2008 as part of the British Army LEP (life extension programme) the idea was to extend the service life from 20 to 30 years.
They did this by selecting the very best 110s available (no 90 models were considered for the project) and basically rebuilding them from the chassis up at an average cost of £10.000.

This consisted of:

* Body off, inspect and replace damaged panels full bare metal repaint
* New engine and gearbox
* Chassis strip and re-preservation
* New wolf wheels and tyres
* Exmoor thick rubber sound proofing throughout
* Exmoor trim seats in Waterproof OUTLAST fabric front
* Safety Devices mulit point rollcage extending externally for protection
* Composite fibre hardtop
* Rear tub strengthener sections to protect rear passengers
* New brakes and suspension
* Chequer plate to bonnet and wing tops

It has been used in the UK military forces stationed throughout Europe until 2012. Chassis in excellent condition, body excellent, doors excellent, mechanically excellent, some minor paint damage to be expected.

After release from the UK MOD depot last year, we fitted silver WOLF rims and Michelin XZL tyres with 70 % thread left.  A set of SVX silver sidesteps were also fitted. Can be easily converted into a soft top by removal the top. This vehicle is fitted with the much desired alloy removable doortops.

Mileage is 85020 km or 52828 miles.

The interior was upgraded with 4 Techno trim 2 man bench seats on the cargo floor.

This Defender is located in my shop in the Netherlands but can be shipped to my US agent in West Chester PA as soon as the auction has ended.
