1980 LANDROVER 88 SERIES 3 FACTORY COUNTY STATION WAGON

You are bidding on a Landrover Series 3 88" finished in green. The Landrover was first registered on the 08-02-1980 and is now coming up to being 34 years old. This therefore means that the truck is now over the 25 year limit which is what is required to import a Landrover into the U.S.A. Why pay the silly prices in the U.S.A. when it is so easy to import one from the UK with our professional help and guidance every step of the way. The Landrover has its original chassis and engine which in this instance is a 2.25 4 cylinder petrol engine. This is couple to a 4 speed manual gearbox. The Landrover up until last week was being used as a daily driver which the previous owner used to travel 20 miles a day. I have the full title for the truck and also a folder full of receipts for various jobs through the years. The Landrover is a genuine factory safari station wagon with the 4 individual fold down seats in the rear.

The exterior of the Landrover is very good for its age. It is all nice and solid and the bulkhead is in fantastic condition as you can probably tell from the images. The sides are nice and straight with no major marks. There is no major corrosion and all is as it should be. There are a couple of minor marks which I have photographed below. These are basically a mark on the drivers side wing and an odd paint chip here and there. The wheels are even original and are in great shape as they were refurbished in 2010 at a cost of 200 GBP. The tyres are also very good and are a nice all terrain tyre. This is a genuine Safari station wagon which means there is a safari roof with inner vents, alpine windows and rear side windows etc. All in all, very good for age as the images demonstrate.

The interior is in very good condition indeed. The 2 front seats are a luxury seat which cost 250 GBP for the pair. They are very comfortable and are in superb condition. There are no major marks or tears and they are as they should be. To the rear there are the 4 fold down seats which are finished in a black vinyl. They have a bit of wear to them as the images show. The dashboard is nice and complete and everything is where it is meant to be. The doors are in good condition with minimal corrosion. All in all, very good indeed and nice and dry also.

Mechanically the Landy is very good. It has had a small fortune spent on it as the receipts show. It has had a new Webber carb, new plugs, leads, cap etc. All the brakes have been serviced as has the exhaust, steering etc etc. There are also numerous bills for servicing as well. The engine runs well and there are no nasty noises at all. The Landy drives like a Landy should do, they are not the most luxurious of things but it does the job it was designed to. The brakes etc all work as they should and all the suspension performs as it ought to. It starts and stops and goes as it should do.
