When the new (11th gen.) Thunderbird was released in ’01, it was an instant sensation! Taking elements of the original (1st gen.) ’55-’57 T-bird and mixing it was up to date modern feature, made it a hit with those who remembered and waxed nostalgic for the original as well as a whole new generation who liked the retro-like styling and creature comforts the new ’bird had to offer. Two trim levels were available; Deluxe and Premium. Both having many desirable options, as well as additional cost hard top (with the classic porthole like the originals) and chrome wheels.
