This is a very special custom one off 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air we have for sale. Built without a budget but with a goal in mind. Here is your opportunity to own something truly one of a kind and different from anything else on the road.

A lot of work has gone into this 1956 Bel Air build by EVS Motors. We started off with a are body that we stripped down and prepped it perfect for paint work. There was no budget when this car was built. The goal for this Bel Air was to be built in a way where comfort and reliability overruled everything. The car had to be reliable enough to be driven from Texas to California through ROUTE 66! We know this car was a success because ultimately the car was taken on the Route 66 trip and made it there and back to Texas.

Engine & Drivetrain:

The heart of the original Bel Air was good for its time, however modern day traffic has introduced to us gridlocked freeways, high speed driving and more. The classic motor is not capable of any of these complications, at least it won't do it well. We had to inject new life and power to this Bel Air to make it practical and fun. At the time we built this car we chose the Fuel Injected (PCM controlled) LT1 V8 from a Chevrolet Corvette. Not only did we find a much more powerful motor compared to the original V8 we also gave it additional performance upgrades with a high flow air intake system, dual exhaust system and custom performance tuning to give it more power and response. The engine bay is dressed up very well with lots of polished aluminum pieces and custom Bel Air engine covers. Putting all that power down to the ground is controlled by a 4L60E built transmission to match the high performance motor.

Safety:

We also focused on safety for the occupants. Three-point seat belt system was installed for front seat passengers, comparatively to the vintage lap belt that just held your waist down but your face will still slam into the dash. Big 13" brake rotors were added along with dual piston calipers to help stop this big body going down the road. The rotors are cross drilled and slotted to help cool the brakes quickly for consistent braking power. The brake master cylinder was upgraded to a modern day hyrdualic braking system, thus eliminating the class brake booster that relys on engine vaccuum power. This is a very big shortcoming with hotrods because when they run cam'ed motors there is not enough consistent engine vaccuum to provide the proper amount of pressure for the power brake system. The classic filament headlights and taillights are not up to par to our standards so we upgraded the headlights to HID (high intensity discharge) and the taillights to LED (ligh emitting diode) for extreme visibility and quick response. Front seats are upgraded to buckets and provide the proper lateral support, lumbar support and a headrest to prevent whiplash. A rearview camera was added for the safety when reversing this large vehicle. A keyless entry system protects the car from intrusion, no need to manually lock the doors with a key or reach over to lock/unlock the doors. A simple push of a button locks this Bel Air down. It also has a remote feature that allows you to start/stop this Bel Air no matter where in the world you may be using your iPhone. This Bel Air was truly thought through for safety.

ICE (In Car Entertainment):

The stereo system in this Bel Air is something that couldn't even be imagined back in '56. This Bel Air runs a full Alpine stereo system and speakers. There are dual Alpine Widescreen LCDs, one in the front and one for rear passengers. There is a built in DVD/CD/MP3/iPOD/FM/AM headunit that controls everything. Front and rear seat passengers can enjoy watching the latest movie in the comfort of their own seats. Fear not, you won't get lost! This Bel Air also has a Alpine navigation system that can help you get where you need to be going. There is a 700watt multi channel amplifier in the rear powering all the speakers and the JL Audio subwoofer. As a added convenience there is a secret hidden refridgerator in the backseat area for your drinks or food!

Wheels/Tires:

The wheel and tire setup on this Bel Air will make some modern day sports cars jealous. At each corner of this car is a three-piece forged T6061 aluminum wheel, reduced weight in comparing with steel wheels or stock cast aluminum wheels. The wheels are chrome and sized at 20". The tires are Z rated Nitto Tires to help increase grip and confidence at speed.

Suspension:

Suspension components were completely upgraded in this Bel Air. Stock shocks, coil springs, control arms were all replaced by modern day equivalents. Tubular control arms replaced stock cast steel control arms. The shocks and springs were replaced by Ridetech air suspension components give the full adjustability of ride height control. This Bel Air feels much sportier compared to the original suspension which felt mushy. Ride height is controlled from a control panel inside the car our via a remote control attached to the keys.

This Bel Air was fully restored about 7-8 years ago and is in amazing condition considering its age. The paint looks great with a durable and thick clear coat.

The interior of this Bel Air looks awesome, there are no rips and tears or foul odors.

The car starts up fine everytime and transmission shifts great.
