Every detail — down to the hood pad retainers — is correct on this powerful American automobile. This car is investment-grade and will be well worth your money. Stock markets may tumble and rise, but with proper care and maintenance, this car can retain its value and then some. The Chevrolet you see pictured is a second generation Impala. The 1960 models created a more conservative look than was seen on the 1959 models and were simply toned down a bit. Stylists and marketers realized that the fin-and-chrome fashion had about run its course decided to shift direction, creating a more conservative facelift. The effect was helped by reinstating three modestly sized round taillights on each side of the top-of-the-line Impala. Up front, the nostril air intakes above the headlights were deleted completely. As far as restorations go, this one is top notch. A three-ring binder full of receipts and photos documenting the restoration is included with purchase. This car is a show-winner including a Best in Show award. Restoration was completed by Auto Craft of Kansas City in 2011. Their documentation details each aspect of the restoration process — the removal of parts of the car to be primed and painted, the exterior receiving its fresh Tuxedo Black color, and more. There are at least 100 pages of documentation including receipts, photos and even pages of ads the previous owners bought parts from. Every detail has been looked over, and the restorer went as far as adding the correct hood pad retainers! The exterior is the correct Tuxedo Black (code 900) and contrasts yet compliments the brand new white vinyl convertible top. The brightwork is fresh and ties together the look of the laser-straight black exterior. This paint had two-tone Diamond Paint and a base clear coat. Originally, this car came with the continental kit. With a length of 211 inches and a width of 80 inches, this car is large and in charge and will add a nice touch to your collection. This car sits on four Goodyear tires measuring P215/70R14 which have period correct hubcaps and whitewall tires. We will note that the horn is inoperable, possible the only downside to this wonderful restoration. The interior is the correct and desirable hound’s tooth red and white vinyl (code 874). With the restoration, these bench seats look as brand new as they did in 1960! The red carpet is also fresh, and the gauges are all original and will help transport you back to the early ‘60s. Grip the steering wheel and take control of this powerful beast with the big block 348-CID Turbo Thrust Tri-power V8 engine. This was one of the most desirable engines of this era, and it is capable of producing 335 HP to help this beast roar down the highway and turn heads. This mighty engine is mated with a two-speed Corvette-type automatic transmission. This is a highly desirable restored 1960 Chevrolet Impala convertible. This behemoth will surely turn heads with its looks and retro style whether on the highway or at a car cruise. Mileage currently reads 65,388, and VIN is 01867T213648. It is being sold on a clear Kansas title. Don’t pass up this opportunity for a frame-off restored, award-winning Impala. Photos can only tell so much of the story; purchasing this car will certainly upgrade your collection. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
