The 2001 M Roadster is extremely rare, with only 1200 or so "S54" M Roadsters made in the 2001-2002 run, before being retired. Out of this limited production, only 2 were made in this color combination!!!! You are looking at 1 of 2 of these cars in existence. From February of 2001, these "M" Cars came with the S54 Engine that produced 315 horsepower. BMW publishes an official 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds. However, it's also been tested by just about every reputable auto magazine out there, and most agree that the car is capable of a 4.5 time, depending on the driver. In 2001, it was faster than all of the Porsche variants, with the exception of the turbo. The bottom line is that this car is really, really fast for what you pay. Braking is excellent and can get you from 60 to zero in only about 115 feet.
Having the power of 315 horses under your right foot, and the ability to unleash them in a tire-smoking roar of Teutonic fury under your left foot, really becomes a temptation. The M Roadster delivers 251 ft/lbs of torque to the rear wheels and BMW has geared the car so you get near the maximum torque throughout the power band so you're not wandering through the gears. You can actually feel yourself being pushed back into the seat as you accelerate hard.
The M Roadster has DSC stability control, which is designed to keep you out of trouble on the road. You can turn the computer on and off, which means that unlike in a Porsche or Mercedes, you can get allow yourself to have fun. The huge tires keep the car glued to the road, and the perfect 50/50 weight distribution makes negotiating the curves a breeze. In the straights this car is an absolute rocket, and in the curves it feels like a slot racer. The M Roadster's gearbox is a five speed designated ZF Type C 5. The gearing system is designed so maximum torque can be applied throughout a wide range of the power band. Shifts are crisp and quick. The gearbox is consistently complimented as being one of the strongest points of the M Roadster.
The styling cues of the M Roadster give you a general feeling that it's fast. The rear quarters are much wider than the standard Z3; this is to accommodate the M's wider stance and larger tires. The rear license plate housing is mounted on the trunk, versus the bumper, since there is no room for it between the M's four stainless steel exhaust pipes. The M Roadster doesn't have the "gills" that you see on the Z3, rather they have faux chrome vents as homage to the old BMW 507. The front spoiler The M sits slightly lower and wider. The M's only come with the sport seats and the side bolsters do come in handy when you push the car through curves. The top is lined, as are all of the post 2000 Z3's, and this is a nice touch, especially in the winter. The M versions have a three spoke steering wheel. The M also has a light-up steering knob with the Motorsport logo. The gearshift housing has a chrome metal ring which secures the leather boot to the center console.
Although this is a driver's car, the creature comforts aren't spared. There are automatic locks, electric windows, heated seats, air conditioning, auto-dimmer rearview mirror, full leather seats, Harmon-Kardon speakers and subwoofer, and comes with front and side airbags. The radio has BMW's theft protection which makes it useless if stolen. The car is also pre-wired for an alarm, phone system, and six disc CD-changer. All in all, this car is a true racer with all of the creature comforts to make it a reliable daily driver.
The 2001 BMW M Roadster comes with very convenient features such as front and side impact airbags with intelligent occupant sensors, variable intermittent windshield wipers, AM/FM/CD premium audio, traction control and dynamic stability control just to name a few. It also has a flat-tire monitor and ABS. This BMW M Roadster has the Original Satin Chrome Shadow "Style 40" wheels - also know as "M Roadstar" wheels. The wheel sizes are 17"X7.5" in the front and 17"x9" in the rear and are exclusive to the M Roadster and M Coupe. The 17" wheels are in average condition. The passenger rear wheel has paint flaking off, which is common with this chrome shadow finish and should be refinished to match the excellent condition of the rest of the car. The wheels are wrapped BRAND NEW Yokohama YK580 tires. The front tire size 225/45R17 and the rear tire size is 245/40R17. The front and rear tires are BRAND NEW and have 100% treadlife remaining. The M Roadster does not come with a spare wheel. The full tool kit is present, but is missing the original BMW tire mobility kit. This 2001 BMW "S54" M Roadster is in excellent shape and its condition is consistent to a car with less than half the mileage both inside and out! The body is clean and free of any major blemishes, scratches, or dents. The hood looks to have been repainted and has some scratches that can be polished out. Like any used car there might be various minor imperfections around the car from everyday driving. The interior is in excellent shape and was obviously well-maintained by a non-smoker. The passenger side door sill overlay sticker is missing. Occassionally, the steering angle sensor triggers a light. The radio is requesting a code to be input. Payment Information/Methods

Deposit
If you are the winning bidder, you must contact us within 24 hours of winning the auction to set up payment arrangements. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the dealership; it is not the responsibility of Exclusive Auto Imports to contact the winning bidder. The successful high bidder will submit a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. We require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within twenty-four (24) hours of winning the auction. This deposit can be made through PayPal with any major credit card to the email address: "Sales@ExclusiveAutoImports.com". In the alternative, the buyer can make a deposit via secure wire transfer. If the deposit is not received within the required timeframe and alternative arrangements are not made, Exclusive Auto Imports reserves the right to make the vehicle available for sale to another buyer.
Payment of Balance Due
The buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 5 days of the close of the auction. The buyer must email/fax Exclusive Auto Imports a legible copy of his/her state issued driver's license and a current/valid insurance card after the deposit is made. As final payment for the vehicle, we will accept a certified bank check/cashier's check, bank loan check, wire transfer, or cash. We will not release the vehicle and/or title until funds clear. All financial transactions must be completed and funds received by Exclusive Auto Imports before delivery of the vehicle can be scheduled. If you pay cash, you can pickup the vehicle immediately once the currency is verified - there may be a small fee applied for excessive cash handling situations. If you pay by wire transfer the vehicle will be available for pickup once funds are available in our account. If you pay by bank check, you will have to wait nine (9) business days or possibly longer until the funds clear. If payment is made using a check we will hold all vehicles and titles for nine (9) days or until the funds clear.
Additional Fees and Taxes
The exact amount you can expect to pay for state-required tax, title, and tags will vary depending upon (1) the state in which you live, (2) the county where you will register your vehicle, (3) the weight of your vehicle, (4) whether you will have a trade-in vehicle, and (5) the type of license plate you select. All car dealerships have a mandatory dealer fee that they HAVE to charge ALL customers by state law. Some dealerships have been known to charge more than $1000.00, but we keep our fee as low as possible. Our dealer processing fee is $375.00 and covers the preparation of the vehicle, a professional detailing, the preparation of documents, filing tax, title and registration forms, and the expenses of maintaining inventory. Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there may be a delay in receiving the original documents up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are rare occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. All titles will be overnighted at our expense if that is the case. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.
Shipping
The buyer is responsible for shipping and/or pickup of the vehicle. All shipping charges are the buyer's responsibility. We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company and usually save our customers hundreds of dollars when shipments are booked through our broker - call us at 954-972-2277 for more information. We deal with both "open" and "enclosed" transport trucks. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company. We will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage. Shipping companies have insurance policies that protect buyers against damage. If you choose to pickup the vehicle yourself, we can meet you at our local airport. This service is free of charge; however, we do require advance notice. Also, certain additional state fees, such as Florida state sales tax, may/will apply if the vehicle is delivered within the state of Florida regardless of the residence of the buyer. It is very common for shipping to be a more cost-effective option when weighed against all the actual costs for picking up the vehicle in person.

Buyer's Inspection
Exclusive Auto Imports welcomes and encourages a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle
prior to the auction ending. This vehicle is available for inspection at any reasonable time. If you choose to have the inspection done by a licensed professional, you must do so at your own expense. Exclusive Auto Imports is willing to work with the customer in transporting the vehicle to the desired inspection location as long as it is a reasonable distance from the dealership. If Exclusive Auto Imports needs to transport the vehicle to another location for the inspection, there will be a charge due prior to the transport to cover expenses of the customer's request. If the inspection is done at Exclusive Auto Imports, there will be no charge. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value based solely upon that judgment. Furthermore, it will be assumed that you have inspected this vehicle fully if you have placed the bid, submitted an offer, or clicked on the "Buy-It-Now" button.

Bid Retractions

Successful Bidder
The winning bidder will be contacted via email after the auction closes or he/she must contact Exclusive Auto Imports and pay the deposit within 24 hours to proceed with payment of the balance and delivery arrangements.
Storage Terms
Once a vehicle has been paid for in full, we will store it free of charge for five (5) calendar days and at nineteen ($19) dollars per day after that.
Non-Paying Bidder
If the deposit is not received within 24 hours of the close of auction or if the balance is not paid in full within
5 days following the close of auction, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer.
Liquidated Damages
In the event that the winning bidder refuses to honor his/her obligation to purchase the vehicle, we shall be entitled to liquidated damages from that bidder in the amount of two thousand dollars plus two hundred dollars per one thousand dollars of the total purchase price of the vehicle.
Legal
The buyer agrees that in the event any non-paying bidder dispute shall arise, it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida and litigated in Broward county. By bidding on this auction, the buyer consents to service by certified mail. The venue for legal action other than non-paying bidder disputes, such as claims, motions, litigation, settlements, or any legal action associated with this sale other than non-paying bidder disputes from either the buyer or seller is to take place in the State of Florida in Broward County.
