MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the iconic 1966 Pagoda Mercedes Benz 230SL you see pictured. This convertible has the 2.3L engine, fuel injection, an automatic transmission and both a factory hardtop and soft top! This particular style of Mercedes is highly sought after and Jeremy Clarkson of “Top Gear” once mentioned that it is “thought of highly” and remembered as “one of the cars from the 1960s that has stood the test of time when Mercedes was still building its cars properly.”

Finished in Ebony, the paint is in great condition, showing only minor imperfections such as rock chips, typical of a 47 year old car that has been driven regularly. The body is very straight, as anyone would expect from the German manufacturer! The hardtop is in great condition! The Hartz cloth soft top is also finished in Ebony with a plastic rear window. All of the glass is intact and in great condition.

Inside, the interior is very tidy and crisp. The seats are in excellent condition and wrapped in Red MB text vinyl. The carpet is finished in Rossa Red and gives the car a sense of depth and looks great. The headliner is in great shape with no signs of sag. The door panels are in great shape and match the seats. The dashboard is Rossa Red leather with a wood veneer, which looks awesome. The dash houses a set of original gauges. This 230SL looks great both inside & out!

Under the hood, you will find the 2.3L inline 6 cylinder engine. This particular model is in fact fuel injected for reliability purposes. Attached to the engine is a 4-speed automatic transmission, making this car a blast to drive! The car is equipped with power brakes for quick and easy stopping. The Mercedes sits upon a set of 14” color matched steel wheels with Mercedes hubcaps wrapped in P205/70R14 tires. There is a spare tire in the very tidy trunk compartment.

This classic and timeless Mercedes Benz could make an excellent Sunday driver or a beautiful addition to any European car collection. The VIN is 11304212014793 (which can be found under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall on a plaque) and the mileage currently shows 35,320. No vehicle is perfect to everyone. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle's mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. This agreement to arbitrate shall survive the sale of the automobile described herein. Buyer and Seller hereby agree that Missouri law shall control for all purposes under this Bill of Sale. Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. All above terms and conditions are applied to vehicle sales, whether through Ebay or otherwise. Sorry, but in all fairness to the bidding process, I will NOT disclose my reserve price until the auction has ended.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Once a car is picked up from our premises, you will NOT be able to return the car.

Overseas shipments will be placed into a steel container for safe sea passage. We take care of all the details and paperwork. All you have to do is collect the car at port and enjoy!
