European Motors moved from downtown Salt Lake City into the old Murray fire station in October of 1974, selling BMW's as well as Alpha Romero, Fiat, Lancia, MG, Triumph and Jaguar. In the late seventies European Motors discontinued selling the English and Italian cars, changed the name of the dealership to BMW of Murray, and became an exclusive dealer for BMW USA. BMW of Murray, Owned by the John H. Firmage family, Is the exclusive dealer for BMW all of Utah and on May 16th 2007 celebrated the Grand opening of BMW of Pleasant Grove, a second location. Over the last 33 years BMW of Murray has grown from selling 3 models of BMW to providing more than 30 models. The physical plant has had 4 major remodels, expanding to a campus, which includes the original fire station, and seven other buildings. The staff has increased from five to over 160. The best part is, that through all this growth the 160 employees at BMW of Murray are as enthusiastic and committed to serving the BMW driver as those original nine were 33 years ago. It's part of what makes BMW "The Ultimate Driving Machine."

Terms and Conditions

All sales are subject to a flat $349 doc fee, $102 license and temporary tag fee, $53 state inspection/IM fee if already performed on the vehicle. If you are a resident of Utah, in addition to the fees above you will pay state and local tax and registration/title/licensing.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. We can help arrange shipping so please let us know if you plan to ship your new vehicle.

Our pre-owned vehicles are sold As-Is unless specified that it has a factory warranty or transferable extended warranty.

There is a $1000 non-refundable deposit required on all vehicles. As soon as the deposit has been received, the vehicle is considered sold and removed online and in-person. We accept PayPal for deposits only. Full balance needs to be paid by bank financing, cash in-person, cashier's check, money order, or personal check. If paying by personal check, funds will need to clear before the vehicle can be released. This can sometimes take up to 10 days.

If you finance through BMW financial, you will need to be in-person to finalized the paperwork. This is required by the lender and there are no exceptions.

BMW of Murray owns every vehicle in their inventory. This means that there is no delay in getting your title once full payment has cleared. If you choose bank financing, your title will be sent directly to the lender.
